Has anyone had any experience with "Spyder" brand headlight replacements? Going in a 2003 Tundra

I tried ordering some of them off of CARID a while back just to find out after waiting two months for them that they were discontinued.

They were going to go into my 03 Tundra as well.

20161031_141933.jpg I ended up ordering just a "stock light" from Parts Geek, $31.00. They have shipped, should be here by Tuesday I believe. I will let you know the quality. According to the web site they meet all specs, and were marked down from $166.00. .....sure they were! Lol.

    20161031_141951.jpg

They came. Seems soild....lens Crystal clear....hmmm.....will be putting in this week. Will report on install....and all the broken knuckles and words that go along with an install that takes 30 min....and turns into 4 hours! Hey... $31.00....can I really bitch?

They are one of the only things I love about this state. Luckily the Rockies extend through a few other states :)

Did you convert them to HID's? I have HID's on mine and have zero complaints.

They are indeed. The only small issue I have with them is that I had to remove the rubber boot on the back of the housing due to the size of the heatsink.

Haha don't go thicker on the glasses. I can't think of any case where that would be acceptable

Better get on getting those projectors set up, you don't want to be late to the party!

Same here. Born and raised. We're looking to move up north to CO or WY in the next few years.

Well after reading a bunch of reviews of light scatter I've decided against any LED lights. It's irritating if not dangerous when getting blinded by other cars/trucks and I don't want to blind anyone else.

That is very true but the same is true for both LED and HID. If the light scatter is to bad it's just a matter of adjusting your housings.

I bought the OPT7s on Ebay- $79.95. Installed in September, ripped 'em out today. This morning, in the fog at 0dark:30 one decided to flicker on me, then went dead. No response yet from their customer service.
Besides that, they give a few strange lobes of light due to the two sided build, and seemed a little short on output.. Never was real happy with 'em.
