Tailgate lock rattle

So I bought a 2019 SR5, silver of course, and the tailgate lock rattles. The sales person said its normal and we will do a we owe and get it fixed.
Well when I was shopping for Tundras I don’t recall another one doing this. They called to schedule this morning and the tech said that we will fix it but it still might rattle. What?
Are the blowing smoke?

 

They are blowing smoke. That is not normal.

 

Easy to check the operation yourself. Take out those screws on the back panel of the tailgate. You will quickly see how everything works. There could be a clip missing or a screw that is loose, even something broken. It shouldn’t rattle.
