I am pretty sure I know the answer to this question, but I would still like to hear what you guys think. So I am lazy and take my truck to the car wash multiple times a week (i have an unlimited pass). What are the thoughts on carwashes here?

Not at all. Like @Pudge said, it’s just going to take any sealant you had on there off. It’s not going to hurt your clear coat.

Unless it’s touchless, it’s going to wreck your paint job. If you look closely, I’d bet there’s already a ton of marring on your clear coat. Since your truck is black, it’s going to really show. It’s hard enough to avoid on a black truck when hand washing, so an automatic car wash is really going to do a number on it.
It’s ultimately up to you how much it bothers you vs the convenience.

Even in the touchless washes, the chemicals used are considerably more harsh than almost all car soaps, and are not good for the finish.

Two weeks ago I did Honeydew snow foam wash and follow up with powerlock plus. My MGM is a pollen magnet for sure. Today I did a power spray water only and pleasantly surprised with the hydro factors. Dropped the better half off at store and in parking lot did a light dry with one pass with a clean mf towel. It came out with only a bit of dirt (from the lower end door jam. Two different products, but do you notice big difference between Beadmaker and Jescar?

This needs a lot more than just wash, clay bar, wax and polish. Those swirl marks are bad. You need a wash, clay, orbiter to cut, wax, polish, seal. At minimum wash, clay, use an orbiter with a compound then wax. Washing, claying, waxing, and polishing will never remove those swirls

My suggestion look at some Sonax and Ammo products to help.

Beadmaker repels water and dirt better than Powerlock, but only lasts at most a third as long. Powerlock has a huge durability advantage.

Obviously the polish would be applied with a DA. A good polish like maybe megs 205, but definitely carpro essence, or scholls s20 black would probably handle those swirls too, depending on the pad used. Some of the diminishing compound polishes can do a surprisingly good job from start to finish.

A little over a month ago I had minor scratches from bushes I had brushed up against while offroad so I did a full detail. After all the wash and clay I used the following two products
    Sonax Perfect Finish
    Ammo Skin Defense

    Thank you

So I recall seeing this type of pressure sprayer used for some detailing products. I don't remember what product or who uses them. A local outlet store had them for $4 so I grabbed a couple and if they work well I'll get some more because I think they are normally more than $4.
Any tips on what to use them for? I was thinking beadmaker, since you have to use to much product. Maybe my hydro2 mix? Any other ideas? @War Machine I think I saw some of these in your cabinet?
I haven't tried them yet so maybe they are junk but figured worth a try. If they don't work I'll use them for lawn and garden chemicals

I have a couple of the IK sprayers. I’ve tried a few products in them, but never really took to them. I did use one for Beadmaker. It worked well, but having to pump it repeatedly got old. I use one for AC coil cleaner now.

At 4 bucks though it’s definitely worth checking for yourself. I paid way much for the IK ones.

I'll try one for beadmaker and see how often I need to pump it and experiment with some other stuff too.

If they have a foaming tip, they're great for APCs. I have a small IK foaming sprayer and it really like it.

I was surprised by it....decent foam and good lubricity. I'm usually leery of anything that has a celebrities name on it, but the soap seems legit. I was lucky...I got mine on Autogeek 25% off, and they had buy one get one free.

Autogeek has 25% off and free shipping over $25 for the next 10 hours.

I bought 2 Mother's CMX ceramic spray coating for $33 shipped. Also came with free mother's gold car wash.
