    Nice!

After looking over every single campsite, I just online reserved Rincon 1 for the fun of getting there and Guale Vista 02 ("This is the most remote, and by far the most spectacular campsite in the entire park. Guale 2 has it all — millions of years of volcanic geology to study, views into Mexico, solitude that is deafening and sunrises and sunsets that will change the way you think about color forever."). Was going to grab Chorro Vista but it was booked. Maybe next time.

As for bugs, we have this if needed.

I recommend staying in Chisos if you can. Pine canyon, robbers roost - that area is decent but everything else is hot as shit at night.

ABB79BE2-0A64-44B4-BA5F-CFB920AE96F5.jpg This is the dry creek bed you take to Rincon 1. It’s kinda confusing the first time to know if your on the correct trail. Lol. We got lost a few times. I didn’t have my Gaia maps downloaded.

    Trip Report:

So I plan to do a full write up to detail the trip for someone who might stumble across this thread in the future looking for details about Big Bend. Forum posts across the net, really helped me out. Im thinking of doing a video format as well. Im still not exactly sure how I want to do this, but in the mean time, here are some pictures.

Absolutely. And it will be part of the "required portion" of my trip report...pic from an overlook on the route. I have a lot more pictures and content to put here.

@Levidale08 unfortunately we had to avoid Rincon 1 the last night due to bad weather. On the list for next time.

My only downfall will be lack of 4wd  so we will be limited as to how far we can go but I think it would be a great experience regardless.

Place is awesome. Been once. One national park that is off the beaten path, that's for sure. Gotta spend two nights!

Better believe we stopped at the golf resort. Im originally from East Tx. We love trees....bc they are everywhere. I went several days in BBNP without trees. So when we rolled by the golf resort with all the greenery and trees, we had to stop. Its also why I took this photo in the BBRSP. I would have loved to camp in this spot, but sadly it was not designated as a campsite....I think it will be in the future.

I stay there in the condo units every time I go since it opened. That's where the goat Mayor of Lajitas used to reside. The PETA people pressured them in getting rid of him after seeing him drinking beer out of a bottle. It was customary to buy him a beer when you were at the bar there. There were 3 or 4 of them over time... but they all drank beer like nobody's business! LOL
