    Hey Guys, just purchased my 2nd Tundra finally got the 4 wheel drive i wanted. Its a 2015 with only 34000 miles and previous owner kept it spotless well maintained. Only problem he applied a 4x4 sticker on tailgate i dont care for. Its peeling a little already. Want to get it off without leaving residual marks of any kind. Any suggestions or fluids to remove.

    Just remove it and use some goo gone to get the residue. More than likely the adhesive used on that is far from being as good as the oem stickers. And I’ve never had problems using goo gone on even oem.

    If that sticker is too hard to remove, use goo gone as mentioned but soak a clean rag with it and apply it over the whole sticker. Don't skimp. Use a lot on the rag. Hold over the sticker for quite some time. Maybe 4 or 5 minutes. Then wait a half hour. Should peal right off. I've removed literally thousands of stubborn calibration stickers over the last 39 years.

    Sounds like a plan with the goo gone route Thanks.

    Heat gun or blow dryer should work, and let you peel it right off.

    This, with a little goo gone to clean up any remaining residue.

    Unless it's been on for quite some time. Works fine on recent stickers and decals but old stickers can be a pain, even using goo gone on old stickers on glass can required a razor blade for example.

    Removed my TSS OFF ROAD stickers today with no heat. There was absolutely no residue. Seems as though heating it creates the residue. I’d try without heat.

    To much to list:)
    Wait for a hot sunshiny day and it’ll peel right off, followed up by a little wax in the place and it’ll be good to go.

    I usually use a little heat followed by 91% isopropyl alcohol with a microfiber towel. Do not use a scraper. Works very well, might take a couple of rubs with the alcohol.
    @Notachickmagnet might know more.

    I used to work at a Ford dealership and we use to take the stickers off the trade in cars with just a razor blade and extreme care. Then I used Goo Gone for the residue. Seems crazy but I used to do it several times a week and never damaged any paint. Soaking the stickers with Goo Gone is always hit or miss especially if they are vinyl and old

    Heat gun and peel. Eraser wheel if needed. Wash, clay bar, polish (to remove ghosting), wax. Done.

    Eraser wheel is magic. I highly recommend. It’ll save you a ton of time and aggravation. Not to mention sore hands and thumbs.

    Use Goo for cars though at your local parts store. Clearcoat and paint safe. Just did the same before dropping a Snugtop canopy on there.

    None....yet few decals and a five star dragon Ball. Lift 4.5" in two years is the plan

    I used these for years when I was doing auto body work. They work well and hardly ever dig into the paint but be warned they will dig into your skin if you slip.
