2004 Gold Tundra extra cab 4wd
Hey all, I'm the original owner, have about 250,000 miles. I'm a FlyFishing and Hunting guide, I live in the Eastern Sierra and put tons of 4wd miles on my truck. Also, since I hunt from WA state to New Mexico, she get a lots of Hiway miles as well. I couldn't imagine a better truck. The 2004 model is still a great size vs the newer models and lets me creep through the forest and desert arroyos pretty well. The trucks pretty stock except for the wheels, tires and struts and shocks. I have begun towing an ATV or two on a trailer and have been considering putting an Air Assist system on the rear to help the squat. Since I can be a couple of hundred miles off the hiway on dirt roads I am pretty anal about maintenance. But I'm getting worried that there are small parts deep in the engine or chassis that I may be missing. So I will be looking for advice here, that's why Im jointing this group. So There! Doug T.

Welcome from deep in the heart of Dixie, Doug.

You've got nutting to generally worry about. You've said the most important part: that you're anal about your ongoing & preventative maintenance.

One item you could tell us, though, is about how many miles a year are you now putting on the truck.

    Welcome aboard sailor.
