I thought I would post some pics and post on my 2017 Tundra Platinum 4x4 Build. This is now my fourth Tundra I've owned. I have been planning this build for about a year. I've researched and googled aftermarket parts until my fingers went numb. It's still a work in progress and I have a long list of parts to get yet. Let me know what you think of the build so far.

Very nice! I love the color you chose to powder coat everything. Your planning and research has obviously paid off and it must be nice to finally see it all coming together

Looking good, what else do you have planned for it? Obviously the rest of the chrome is gonna have to go, do you plan on adding any more of that color you powder coated everything in? Looking at the grille, it might look good in that color as well and really set off that theme. Or maybe some retrofitted headlights with the insides that color + a tailgate stamp. Hell of a start!

Thanks for all the complements! Truck should be rolling later today. The chrome handles and mirrors are being swapped with color matched black. The front grill will be painted with platidip for now. I'm having a custom grill made with Radiance LED lights built in. The front and rear bumpers will be replaced later on. My next upgrade is replacing the stock 430 gears to 4:88 gears. Cold air intake and exhaust will be done to help with fuel economy and performance. Undercarriage led lighting coming soon. I'm having train horns installed. The front headlights I'm either going to retrofit or replace with aftermarket. Tail lights and full LED under tailgate brake light will be done soon. Custom Roof rake should go on early next year since manufacturer hasn't released the design just yet. I'll upload pics of the truck on the ground later.

It's a blue powder coat color. It's funny I don't like purple but the wheels look purple in the dark. In the sun they are very bright blue.

looks good but I'm no big fan of spiked lug nuts. Is that even legal to drive with them ? in case of accident, someone could go after you b/c of the dangerous nature of it...just my 0.02

Lol TheBeast! If someone hurts themselves on the spike lugs inside my rims, then we need to weed them out of the gene pool. Haha. It's perfectly legal to run them as long as they don't stick out passed your mirrors.

Thank you! I just got it back today. Still only have 80 miles on the odometer. I've got more to do to it this weekend. All the remaining chrome will be gone. Im going to try the taillight tint spray that you can peel off. I'll post pics and let you know if it work out ok.

I have used night shades spray but when it's on it's on. Works good. You can get it autozone.

Where did the spiked lugs come from? I've been kicking around adding them to my build..
How does she feel with stock graters and 37s?

It actually drives good with the 430 gears on 37. I made a typo on my tire size they're 37/22/13.5 . I still want to have the gear swap done with the 488 gears. I would strongly recommend getting the Upper Control Arms if you want 37". They allow you to make a lot more adjustments to help with alignment and avoid as much rubbing. So far the motor and drivetrain are stock. I will be doing a cold air intake, exhaust and programmer. I wish Tundra would have never done flex fuel so a super charger install could be done easier. I'll be getting some good day time photos posted of it this weekend. I chose the blue rims because the attitude black (14-15)or graphite black (2016) colors on the Platinum trucks have a lot of blue flake in the paint. I wanted to pull the color out more.
