About six months ago I removed the factory muffler from my truck that I purchased in October and added a Dynomax Ultraflow Weld. I was hoping it would give it a little more bark, but it was just barely louder than stock...disappointed!!!

Well I use to own a 2012 Mustang GT that I purchased new. When the car had less than 300 miles I swapped the mufflers out for a pair of...Dynomax...no joke. I was unhappy with those too!!! Eventually, I put a Borla catback on and damn that car sound like sex to my ears! Anyway, I kept the stock Mustang mufflers at my Dad’s garage. He was going to throw them out, but I got the wild idea to have them installed on my Tundra by a custom exhaust shop. It’ll take a little customizing, but I’m sure the shop I use can do it, pipe diameter maybe a little larger...maybe 2.75”. I was considering doing true duals, but I read it’ll kill the low end torque, so maybe I’ll just install one.

    What you guys think?

For the cost of cobbling those on, I'm sure a universal 18" magnaflow would be cheaper and actually give you a sound closer to what you want

Those Mustang factory mufflers do have a nice growl to them, and would sound great on your trk. They have a nice idle and WOT sound. Keep the dual exhaust piping down to 2.25". Beside those, I agree that Borla (and Corsa) aftermarket mufflers also have good quality sound. I have a couple of new Corsa mufflers that have been laying around for quite awhile now and might put em on the Toyota trk sometime later.

    Go for it.

Along these lines, I find it funny that the bit of snarl that my old Tundra has (maybe replacement exhaust, dunno) inspires Mustangs to take off too when I pull away from a light. I'm *not* trying to start races, but Mustang owners frequently seem to think I am!
