In May 2018 I bought a new Tundra access cab. So my truck sits in full sun all day. Right after purchase I would start truck to leave work (15 miles away) but would notice on right side of dash a light Yellow and it is an icon PCS System off". So I toggle over to system and it shows it is on and has the green sensitivity lights on, buy it freezes and you cannot even adjust it. With in 3-5 miles, although yesterday May 7 2019 it came back on as I got home 15 miles. In 2018 I figured it was just something that would go away. Now that on Cape Cod its hot again, it started again this week. I am bringing it in Monday for this and a n inspection sticker. Anyone else have this issue ???????

What part of Cape Cod gets "hot" this time of year? Sorry I don't have an answer to your question other than to say that if PCS will not engage you may want to schedule an appointment at the dealership.

Yea this has happened to me as well. My truck is parked outside while at work. During the summer months I noticed that if the truck was parked facing the sun, it would act up for the first few miles on the way home. After it cooled off, it would magically go away...

Any dealer that says they've never heard of PCS issues in a Tundra is either 1. Lying or 2. Have never worked on a Tundra.

    Maybe try a different dealer.

Update on 2018 Tundra. So I call and tell dealer I want to make apt for the issue.I have made cell phone video. What happens is on hot days after the truck is in the sun all day, when I start the truck the PCS OFF Icon shows up on dash. I know PCS is on so why does it show off? I toggle to settings and it shows on plus you can see the 3 green lines for sensitivity. It goes away after a few miles. Well the girl who I talk to tells me I have never heard of that issue. When I walk in for the appt another guy says I we have the part for your recall. I say What recall? I never was told nor did I get a mailing. Something to do with sensor. I pick up the truck and the next days the same thing. Now I take another video. By now the service manager has gotten involved. The best thing is after dropping the truck off yesterday Tuesday 5/21 they call to say it actually replicated the problem for them so they saw it first hand. Now Toyota Corporation or some technician from there says the radar may need to be synchronized (what ever that means) They called to say they are keeping the truck again overnight. The 2019 Tundra they loaned to me which is loaded is beautiful. Plus I love oldies music and the truck is so new it still has the free Sirruis XM for 3 months and I listen to 60s What I do know of this problem: It is not normal and can pose a safety issue. It will not work during the few miles you drive as you wait for it to clear. Once I find out exact issue I will post here so you can call your dealer and mention the exact thing that needs to be done. I do know the 2019 I am using now has not had the issue. I bet they knew about it and made a correction for 2019. Mine is a 2018. Maybe if I lived in Alaska when its dark for 6 months I would not have to worry, its the hot sunny days that is the common denominator that causes the issue.

I haven't tried this to see if it works yet, but I am going to try it soon. Mine gave me a giant "Brake" in red the other day going thru a green light where a guy that was in the turn lane was slightly over the lane marking. I was braced for the beetch to lock up on me... but it didn't.
