I got a SnugTop Rebel installed on my 2015 1794 back in October by A&A Toppers in Lakewood, CO. I just checked to see if my clamps bent the rails but they all look good. They never told me to check the bolts after x number of miles, however, so I need to do that. I did notice that the external weather stripping on the back bottom sections of the windows is traveling upward about a 1/4 - 1/2 inch. I just push it back down into the window frame. Besides that, I'm pretty happy with the topper.

I have an ARE CX model and have the same style clamps.

Here are pics of the bent bedrail on my truck. Looks the same at all 6 clamps.

It makes me mad just looking at the damage that was caused by those clamps. Too bad Snugtop will not make it right. I will NEVER buy a topper from them.

    To much to list:)
Just my opinion,,, the whole system looks to be of poor design. Looks like one part is to small therefore gets bent during install. It is obvious and installers continue on with the process?? Does not seem like a quality product to me. I will cross them off the list. Thanks for posting but sorry for the mishap.

They say when a customer has a good experience with a product or service they’re likely to tell 4 people about it. When a customer has a bad experience, it’s like 8-10 people. It just chaps my a$$ when companies fail to stand behind their product or service. It’ll be highly unlikely I’ll ever go with Snugtop or recommend one to a friend.

If I ever need a topper, this thread has made clear that I should avoid Snug Top.

Perhaps Tundras.com should create a forum that is strictly for buyer/seller feedback. It would then be searchable by product name or seller/vendor name.

Another recent thread with problems with an A.R.E. cap and their poor customer service.
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/a-r-e-topper-issues-2018-tundra.42678/

So A.R.E. rubs all the paint off the bed, and Snugtop bends the bed (although I think that could have been prevented with different clamps)

True, but Snugtop clamps are built into the topper and meant to look sleek. So it would take a design change from Snugtop or installers using the old school clamps from the beginning and not the built in ones.
