LOL it's dairy based (all of them are) so there's a bit of gas associated with all brands

My favorite is Intek brand protein, some has glutamine and BCAAs and is the best tasting protein that I've ever tasted, just hard to come by as they don't like to use online sales unless it's from the manufacturer; normal price is about $40 for a 5lb jug. I use Syntha-6 for the calories, taste, and it's easy to get ahold of. I've had good results from Vegan proteins, it's just more than I'd like to spend on protein. If you get on Truenutrition.com, you can customize supplements and is priced fair for what you're getting.

I don't have any scientific buzz to back it up, but my favorite protein is Beverly International UMP (Ultimate Muscle Protein), Chocolate flavor. Doesn't bother my stomach at all, tastes great.

    For all the fancy details......

Cellucor - cinnamon swirl is my fave
    Dymnatize - orange dreamsicle
Or any other of theirs. Lmk if ur looking and I'll give u my feedback on their product

BIGGEST thing you need to check is for anything that is spikes from aminos. Ensure the protein was 3rd party tested to clear this. This is why I only recommend the above two.

    Beverly is legit too

Go to Nutrition Company if you can. BEST prices hands down. The owner and most employees know me there. Those guys actually know what they're talking about. Most products there are like 1/2 price of GNC and ZERO sales pressure.

So, had this annoying wrist injury checked today...script meds and a brace for 4 weeks or so. Doc thinks it's tissue damage.

I'm 5'7" (on a good day) floating around 185'ish with visible (slightly clouded) abs. It took me close to 2 years to hit 180 with good abs. It'll prob be another year before I see 190 with solid abs.

When I was younger walked around at 195 lbs., feel quite beastly at that weight. But age and injuries caught me, so I went a different way.

145 lbs. - Used to only go low beginning of summer. After 2 back surgeries worked super hard and got there and held for 8 months. Appearance is awesome, but endurance suffers, and diet for this is strict, some light headedness from diet.

155 lbs. - Best for me.

160 lbs. - The real best for me, 155+ more endurance, more muscle, and unporportional jump in strength.

So yeah, guess we would be headed opposite awesome directions.

2 back surgeries? Yikes. I hope I don't get there..I know that couldn't be easy to recover from. The good thing is, you're still out there and doing something opposed to sitting around doing nothing.

2012 was the last one, fusion, 3 years to get back to my new self. Now it is just a nuisance, as my workouts are custom tailored focusing on good back routines. Your smart, watch all your joints, if you have injuries, re-think it. I do 2 a day x 5, 3 hrs., no doctor injuries in 2+ years, and make no mistake, its old guy hardcore.

I tried to get educated on orthopedics via Google in the past 2 minutes but it didn't work. What do they call what you have going on and what will they do to fix it?

Called heel calcitrate or something like that. Like a heel spur. Caused by short tendons. Bone tries to grow to help tendon be longer (crazy body). Gotta stretch tendon twice a day and wear a boot at night that stretches it. Won't cure it, but will help tendon stretch so it doesn't bother me after exercise or when foot is still for a while. Getting old sucks.

Gotcha... that's wild. I hope the exercises work for ya. The body does do weird things. I had a bone spur on my femur near my knee when I was younger. I had it surgically removed, but pretty weird.
