There seems to be an issue with recently purchased Eibach Coil-over sets purchased from Toytec for late model 2nd Gen Tundra's and 3rd gen Tundra's. Since Toytec hasn't created a thread on this, I am.

I purchased the 2.5" Eibach Coil-overs and gained about an inch of lift. Others have purchased the 3" lift and have also only gained slightly over an inch. (Makes sense due to a simple C-clip setting difference). The issue is that Eibach tested their springs on a 2WD Tundra and didn't account for height differences on 4WD models.

If your experiencing this issue, please respond to the thread and vote in the poll. I've attempted to aggregate existing threads about the issue.

I purchased my kit back in August of last year... never imagined I would need to measure to make sure I was getting the advertised lift. I just figured they did all that research for us.

Reached out to David from Toytec to see what my options are. But all I’m told so far is Eibach is working on a fix, although I’m not sure exactly what that means...

Sounds like you should be fine. The issue is with the last couple months. Mine from 6 months ago are good to go.

I’m only getting 2” of lift up front at the moment.

Any new updates on this? I am about to pull the trigger on a set of coil overs and wanted to see if you heard anything? I might give them a call and see.

Nothing yet. I would highly recommend buying from somewhere other than Toytec. Still working on my issue. For a company so publicly "helpful", saying they're going to get everything resolved etc., in the background they are a nightmare to work with.

The guy that helps David, Dejan? However you spell his name, he literally told me "tough s**t, we can't do anything after you install it."

David however has been nice, but still it feels like they intentionally drag their feet and are hoping this blows over. Being nice is great, but action is what we need from toytec.

It’s not just Toytec. Icon has the same issue. Eibach makes springs for a lot of companies.

What is stock center of hub to bottom of fender measurement? I have the Eibach's and I also have a top plate spacer for an additional 1/2 lift and I am measuring 24" currently.

Stock is around 21.75-22”. So you got 2” of lift if your at 24”.

Well that sucks. When I bought my setup I seem to remember Toytec's site stating I would have 3" of lift with the pre-assembled Eibach coilovers with their springs. Hope this gets figured out.

Not intentionally dragging our feet at all if Eibach doesn't have a spring to offer right now

Last I heard they were still testing it and are 3-4 weeks out. Sounds like some smoke blowing to me. I would avoid it altogether. Trust me.

Last I heard being about an hour ago from Ryan at Eibach.

I will give it a few more weeks. Not in a huge hurry. But how much less than 3" is it making an effect?

On a side note. If I do the 3" think I should get the a-arms and all that too? I am new to this whole independent front suspension stuff. Had a jeep with solid axles before so pardon my lack of education.

I received slightly over an inch of lift with my Eibach setup (set at 2.5"). It's recommended to get UCAs with a 3" lift but if your okay with some additional tire wear and possibly some bump steer then you don't need them. Someone said on some Tundra's you'll be 100% okay with stock UCA and 3" but others it can be a problem.

I pm'd toytec today and got an immediate response asking for some pictures and part numbers. I sent the info but no response yet. Hopefully this will get fixed soon.

As did I. Then they just told me that I have the correct part numbers and that there was nothing they could do. Granted that's before they admitted there was something wrong with the springs but I was never notified about that. If I had not been a member of this forum then I would've never known they were defective. I would hope they've contacted those who purchased that aren't forum members but I doubt they have.

Yeah agree with you there they won't. That would cost them a lot of $$$$. I am gonna wait another month and see what unfolds.

I was all set to purchase, so glad I drug my feet and over-research things. I'm looking for 3" lift so that was have given me the reds, to only get an inch. And then before when they said nothing they could do. Glad to see it seems like they are working on the problem. But they should have acknowledged from the beginning. I've heard nothing but positives about David at Toytec.

But after all this, think I'm going with adjustable ones from Fat Bobs. Like that they are adjustable.

Funny you say that. I decided on the vated 3" adjustable coilovers as well. They're headed to me as we speak. I'll be glad to get rid of these Eibach's.

I got 2.75” on my coilovers from icon and that’s with an nfab bumper.

Had to switch springs to 700 lb spring set at the max threads showing (1”)

I've been holding off ordering hoping maybe for a sale for Memorial Day but one way or the other I'll be pulling the trigger on Monday or at least that's the plan. You went with their's or the Bilsteins they offer? I'm going theirs.

Was tempted to go with Boss and the 6112s. Especially a couple of weeks ago when they had the sale but didn't want to buy shims for extra lift and not adjustable once installed. But everyone brags about them, both!
