    Hey guys
There's a guy selling a JBL NAV deck from his platinum model and I'm wondering if I can plug and play it in?
I have a sr5 so no JBL sound system. Does this matter?

    I really want the NAV

If his is Premium JBL, probably not "Plug n Play".

Curious to know what the difference would be. I would think it would have a few extra speaker wires in the harness of one of them.

Definitely not plug and play. The stock platinum head unit sucks anyway, as does the navigation installed into it. If you want an update you need to pay Toyota. Definitely not worth the effort even if he gives it to you free

Go aftermarket. I don’t think the swap is pnp.

Several conditions make this not worthwhile:

    1. Different harnesses
    2. Map updates can’t be hacked, cost $
    3. Tundra JBL sound sucks

    Get an aftermarket unit.

Then look at the metra dash kit. It looks basically identical to the rest of the trim.

The Tesla's looks more stock than most, kind of pricey. I used to have "hang-ups" with non-stock look but have gotten past it.

To retain stock you could always get one of those expensive CarPlay adapters, reliability is questionable but at least you have Waze or Google Maps etc, miles ahead of Entune Nav.

But you're still stuck at AM sounding 22w RMS, while aftermarket HU is peak 50w x4.
