65497345-C434-4FED-9013-35AB39A3EA81.jpg Fishing here in hawaii is my passion.I love to shore jig, plug with surface lures and slide baiting. Chasing the GT or any pelagic fish. From offroading to the spot, to pulling up right near 20-30ft cliffs and fishing off the tailgate. Please check outmy youtube channel, share and subscribe if you like my vids. I love capturing the raw/unfilter moment during the whole fight. So please check them all out.

Most recent catch. These may not be prized fish in other places but here in hawaii anything like this from shore is a great catch. Also not to mention swinging up a 10lb fish up a 30ft cliff is not easy. We do use slide gaffs but the waves can take your catch so sometimes you need to test your gear and knots lol

Very cool. Tropical fish are so fascinating.

I fished offshore with Russ Needa out of Kona when we were in Hawaii way back in 08 or 09. Only landed a mahimahi that day but I had a blast. Whenever I get back to visit Hawaii again, I full intend to give shore fishing a try. :)

I’ve been on Oahu since July 2018 and still haven’t gone fishing yet. I’ve been thinking about trying to catch a peacock bass up at the reservoir but wasn’t sure about what lures or bait I need.

My plan is to rent a jon boat from the army post Schofield and give it a try.

I brought my tundra but forgot my trailer hitch lol!

Nice!! Oahu fishing is a little different from the Big island. You can fish a lot of spots without 4wd lol. Just rush um at the reservoir. Lots of shops up there can steer you in the right lures/tackle that you need.

@Fish2eat88, very impressive, especially getting fish up without losing them. This is one of my favorite threads, keep the pics coming

That looks like a false albacore. Don't know what y'all might call them on the west coast. Here on the east coast they are mainly cut up for bait, as there oily like a king mac. Very fun to catch, especially on med tackle. Great catch
