Wasn't "too" bad up in the cities. Damn ice though, it's going to be bad later today. I drive the right lane all the time and keep tons of space in front of me and saw a couple fish tails. Ah Minnesota drivers. Was in Nicollet and Layette a couple weeks ago after our first dumping and was fun to turn all the nannies off and spin around. Might try for Mankato or a longer haul out West this weekend to Canby/Gary SD just to see what they got.

I can't even believe your employer put their necks out on the line like this. Seriously, and so did you. If your Tundra is damaged, are they going to replace/repair it? Do you have proper insurance for transport? DOT/MC #'s?

Like @landphil said, 100% over your trucks max capacity rating. I could only imagine what the axle rating that was over. Your wheel studs, axle bearings, and suspension called....they don't like you.

So it would be ok if I drove drunk on that frontage road...because it's only 4 miles, right?

I have to say, this is probably the biggest load I have ever seen in the bed of a Tundra, and that isn't a compliment.

Load shifting is a serious issue and only takes one little problem, natural reaction to hit the brakes, collision with anything, etc.

We do have a COC and it does state talking or displays of reckless driving is prohibited. We should at least attempt to not show grossly overloaded trucks on the site.

My famous last words...it was only [fill in blank].

We are all passionate about certain things. Mine are:

    Seatbelts

    Texting while driving

    Safe towing/hauling.

Life can change in an instant. We had two people die on CO 105 today. Both died on the scene, both were not wearing seatbelts, not sure it would have mattered since it was a car vs tractor/trailer. However their chances would have greatly increased had they been wearing them.

I have several friends with 1/2 ton trucks, various makes and models, and they ask if one of us in the off roading group will haul things for them all the time due to weight ratings.

Too much weight. You are way over payload. When in doubt check your specs in your manual.

This thread is stupid. A place to brag about how much you throw in your truck and throw caution to the wind because you are pretty sure that Toyota over designs their vehicles....

325 gallon water tank. That is what, 2600 lbs? Jeebus.
