    Good afternoon,
HWU here from NW Ohio. I just signed onto this site because I am getting ready to buy my 1st Tundra! I (we) wife and I have driven Toyotas and Lexuses for the past 20+ years. But now that I'm retired little projects are creeping up....and I see some "hauling" in my future and the RX350 is NOT a vehicle that I will haul anything in but a "cooler" or groceries! And the wife's "mid life" crisis car....FRS.....can only haul about 3 bags of groceries....yes more than that but getting my golf clubs out of that thing is hell on my back. So....glad to be here and from a quick glance it looks like I just might be in the right place to.....become a "Tundra" owner!

Perusing your past tastes in vehicles you like leather.......start by looking at the Limited DC model like I bought 3 months ago. It'll also come with the best tires as well, Michelin LTX. Anything i've heard is the double cabs are smoother riding than CrewMax with the shorter beds.

Welcome to Tundras. Check out the CrewMax and Double Cabs in person. Check out the size of the beds in each, then my recommendation would be to decide which is more important, interior room or the bigger bed for those projects. I have a utility trailer I can use for hauling stuff, so the interior space was my pick. That leads me to my next question. If you love the RX, have you considered adding a hitch and buying a utility trailer to use for hauling? They are low so no lifting, no need to worry about scratching or making a mess, and usually priced well.

The 1794 edition would have the interior you are used to seeing....

You're referring to Fort Meigs. Played there when I was a kid. More of a open picnic ground then before they restored all the walls and rebuilt the fort as is once was. When in high school took my dads '64 Ford Falcon Wagon down in the flats below the fort after a fresh snow and had a blast driving around. You couldn't get that thing stuck. My dad had the Hardware on Lousiana that just closed a few years back. I moved the wife & kids to NJ in '81 because of a new job. Only back to visit once in a while.

MILLS Hardware! Dam....I LOVED that place! As soon as you walked in the door...it was childhood memories.....the smell, the products you can't get at a big box, the "knowledge" of the people there...."old school" fixer upper! Dam I miss that place! Love the story of the Fort before renovation...that had to be a blast. The changes here are becoming "annoying" I miss my little town from just back in The "80's" let alone when you were here. Too many houses coming. New school being built at Roachton and Hull Prairie, and 430 houses behind it. One thing that will save that area, Mr Pratt left a ton of acreage to the historical society, no one can touch it....ever....so that area stays serene, across from the new school. Also, some whiz kid at ODOT decided there should be these "roundabout" ....at almost every intersection in town! JK..not all but they are popping up! Take care great talk
