Mounted my CVT 55" standard awning today to the rear of the custom aluminum bed rack. Had to come up with a sturdy solution for mounting that'll handle rough offroad abuse hopefully.

And a bonus shot of my tie down system in my bed..

Tie down game is strong. There are 6 heavy duty eye rings on the floor along with 4 additional D-rings on the sides to coexist with the factory anchor points. The floor rings' bolts themselves are removable if I need to load something big and flat onto the bed.

Finally got around to removing the front sway bar. I ran without sway bars front and rear on my last truck (FJ Cruiser) and it performed great offroad and was even more fun on the streets. Have to maximize offroad articulation wherever possible. I'll need to add limit straps eventually to prevent popping CV axles though.

Pluto looks mean while toothless. Took off the OEM bumper cover because my new aftermarket bumper should be arriving any day now. So anxious to get it installed with my new winch. I also took off the corner trim under the headlights because they needed trimming to clear the tires when tucked and to add some LED marker lights.

Swapped out the bulbs on both the front map lights and rear dome lights for some Super Bright LEDs in natural white (part code is "WLED-NWHP5"). It totally changes the inside of the truck at night while not being too bright from the outside thanks to the OEM and aftermarket window tints plus smoked window visors.

Haha, yea.. there're a few that are big enough but most are like that. I normally park in the big ones but usually there's a tiny car in the giant spot (ie. Mini Cooper or Civic).

When you mounted the sPOD and ran the cable to the cab did you have to drill a new hole or use an existing hole.

I used the existing grommet behind the emergency brake pedal. There's an unused nipple on it that I cut off to leave a tight enough hole to thread the cable through and keep snug (waterproof).

Installed my Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator today. The unit fixes the odometer readings also. This was a mod way overdue because when the truck read 80mph I was actually going about 86. I've been running 37s since around 5k on the odometer and now it reads 36k but I'm sure it's really supposed to be at least 40k.

No pictures of the actual install since the hardware is stowed away behind the instrument cluster panel but I did mess around with the ICP while I had it out by painting it white and blue to match the ongoing theme of Pluto. Had some fun with the 90-120mph readouts, too.

Mounted a Plano Molding locking storage case on the roof along with a set of four Baja Designs Squadron XL Pro lights. The center two are a high-speed spot pattern while the outer two are hybrids (spot top, flood bottom) and angled out. The lights aren't wired in yet since I ran out of time; I also need to figure out a switch for the "dimmed" feature -- or 50% output -- of the LEDs.

Nope, not yet. Found out my winch doesn't fit height-wise without getting one of the control box relocation kits. I have the kit coming in tomorrow so I have to take care of that first.

Didn't have much time today due to a case of massive mud butt but I was able to spend a few minutes mounting my set of TRED Pro recovery tracks onto the underside of my Pelfreybilt custom bed rack. The mounts provided can hold 4 tracks, as I have 2 more in the garage, but I don't feel the need to have that many in the truck for now. The yellow bungee cords are just for extra support though they aren't necessary.

Sneak peak at the mounted Relentless Defender bumper! I got the Warn winch on there, too, but still need to install the fairlead along with the rope.

There were a few alignment fitment issues, and I had to drill the holes larger after also popping out the OEM bumper frame bolts, but I'm overall extremely pleased with how the new bumper is functionally built.

Full shot of the Defender bumper! It makes Pluto look more fierce. :) That's ~135lbs of pure American steel; 3/16th plating and 1/4th at the primary mounting point. Approach angles are extremely improved over stock. If you're in the market for a functional aftermarket bumper, hit up Relentless to place your order.

Additional shots from another angle and the side to show the bumpers fitment, form, and function. Solid angles. Clean lines. Stout hoop. You can order the Defender bumper without through hoop, too, if that's your flavor. There are also well-placed accessory points for LEDs (bar or pods) and room for a 12k winch. Relentless spared no expense when designing this bumper.

"She ain't fat, bruh; she's just a lil thick." Pluto all up in, on, and over your face. There are a few pieces still missing to that front that I have in mind though. We're taking the truck out to Sedona for a week in a few days so we'll be sure to get some sweet shots in.

There's a huge AZ Tundras meet on the 15th in Scottsdale if you can make it down! I'd love to see Sedona now before our wedding up there in November. The trees are most likely in full effect

Oh and the truck is looking TITS with that new bumper!

Ugh, can you guys just move it ahead a day so I can stop by on my way down!? We're in Arizona from the 7th to the 14th. On the 13th, we're camping outside of Sedona at Lake Pleasant then heading home from there on the 14th. I don't think I can convince the girlfriend to spend another day in AZ. You have a link to any details for the meet, @TRON?

Yea, it does a bit unfortunately but you still get some decent area light. The LEDs are angled as far down as possible and they still shoot upward a bit. I'm going to maybe angle them all the way up instead. They're mainly a "higher beam" for me when my headlight high beams aren't enough. My A-pillar and roof lights cover enough of the ground around the front of the truck. I'll be putting in some LED fog lights, too.

Long overdue but I finally got around to installing my Coachbuilder +3 shackles today. These are both aluminum and beefy; total additional lift is roughly 1.65". The truck's ass end was starting to sag from all the constant gear on the truck so these helped to level out the stance again.

I saw a post on your IG about your oil changes. What is that you were using? Is there a walk through anywhere for that? I came from a 2nd Gen Tacoma which is the easiest oil and filter change ever, to a Tundra TRD Pro and its skid plate.
