So I’ve seen about 100 threads but still a little confuses. Simple question...

We need about .75ton of flagstone and the guy said ‘you can put that in the bed no problem.’

Am I safe here with that much weight, or should I make 2 trips?

2016 5.7L TRD OR with tow package

    Thanks in advance!

This one here? Where it says 1240? (Obviously 3/4 ton would put me over, just making sure I’m deciphering correctly)

Make 2 trips. 1500lbs + driver, other occupants, and anything else in the truck certainly exceeds 1240 lbs.

Exactly what I thought. Every little bit helps for this big dummy. Thanks!

You’re not the big dummy. That would be the guy who said it’s fine, no problem.

And maybe it would have been. People have overloaded vehicles since the first one was built, and most get away with it. Best not leaving safety to chance though.

I’ll post a pic after it’s done. Ordered 9 tons of river rock to be delivered too. Will be amazing once done!

    Thanks everyone!

Last week was a pallet of 40 bags of 50lb river rock.

Your no dummy sir, I load it down till the frame hits the axel and fix it if it breaks. I admit to my own stupidity but they make parts everyday and bad choices make good stories.

Had a 1988 Chevy heavy half and loaded it Dow with sand it was well over a cubic yard. When the u-joint gave out it was on the transmission side. Wrapped around the rear axel and blew out both tires. I loved that truck!!! And that was the first of 3 drive shaft I put in it. The best part of breaking a truck is getting the modified replacement part you wanted.

Maybe consider getting it delivered in your driveway or rent a small utility trailer from Home Depot or Uhaul if you want to knock it out in one trip.

It’s about 2-3 miles from my house. I’ll just make 2 trips. Delivery is $130/hr
