So, I have been informed of balancing beads, but not the typical ones. These are Counteract Balancing Beads. They are EXTREMELY small, and have had good reviews apparently. I have never heard of or much less, had any experience with these. Website says as a rule of thumb, about 1 oz per 16 lbs of tire. Can be added in via the valve stem by removing the core first. A buddy of mine did this with his truck (not KO2's) and said they work very well on his F250...DIDN'T EVEN BALANCE THE TIRES FIRST! Said he just mounted, then put in. Reading online seems to prove it is a good product. I have the KO2's on now, but they're just stock. Once I put on my 6" lift, I'll be getting the same tire, but in a 35x12.5R20. Thinking of trying these out to see how they work. Not sure if anyone else has heard of them or used them. I don't care about this aspect, but the website shows it improves mileage, which I just laughed at....but who knows! Anyone ever try or heard much about them? Thanks for input! Also...they're supposedly TPMS safe!

Never heard of them but I could use them. One of my KO2s is bad and still shakes after 8 balance jobs.
If you use them post back please.

Been in the 4x4 Jeep community for a while now. Never saw it used in anything over 37s and no one ever said the balancing got sketchy as the size (tire) increased. Good way to avoid busy tire shops and those that balk over anything 33+

It will be a while before I get to put new tires on. My KO2's only have 37k on them, and looks like I got another 25k on them to go (both a blessing and curse of having them...they last a while! lol). What size you running on yours?
Those are different. I've seen stuff for Dynabeads. Have you seen people use the Dynabeads....or the Counteracts? Just curious to clarify which ones have worked. Also, assuming those jeeps had them used on something between 33s and 35s...they used them on the streets fairly often?

Only needed if you can't get using normal weights. Usually only use these if you rim is bent or its a bigger tire than a 35 -Semi's run these quite often

I've never seen the ones you've mentioned. It appears they work the same however.

The majority of the Jeep guys I know DD their trucks, hence the need. A few folks built super Jeeps and trailered them around like royalty. They never mentioned them. They would be all about beadlocks and slow crawling, a balancing was done at purchase and you never heard about it again.

I was on 35 MTR Kevlars and balanced them traditionally. If I noticed I lost a weight I'd rebalance them. TBH more folks over inflated tires then anything (road use) but I digress.

I guess if your rotating, you can balance traditionally. Maybe an overland style Tundra owner will chime in. I'm not in the granite, mud, and trails anymore so my experience isn't vehicle specific.

I tried these before with very crappy results. Some people have good luck, but after 50 mph it was horrible. Wheels and tires balanced before install.

I found some available near me that was at a Love's truck stop. Started thinking it was used primarily for them. Also noticed I've seen them noted in use in motorcycles.

On my tundras 37s they were bad. Sounds like your experiance as well. The 37s on my excursion have the beads and are smooth as a traditional balance. No idea why..

That whole ordeal cost me dearly. Paid for the beads, then a dismount and vacuum out, remount and balance. I’m not sure they didn’t get all the beads out either.

We use airsoft bbs on our rigs with beadlocks. Work fine for trailrigs that do some street. Have had them up to 65mph and they arent smooth, but they are as good as Iroks on beadlocks are going to get.

I’ve used the dyna balance beads before. Worked perfectly with some bfg. I will use them again in the future

This was on my 2005 with 285/75/16. I haven’t used them since that truck

I had something like that when I ran 40 super swapper boggers. Did really well. No to think about it might have been power in them so I wouldn’t have to true my tires

From What I understand is these balance beads are to be used Without any additional wheel balance weights. Probably why they didnt work is you still had the other weights on.

I tried both ways. I talked to counteract several times. I gave up.

The shop installed these on my K02’s. Felt horrible. Had another shop vacuum them out and do a true balance and it feels amazing. 275/70/r18. Will never use beads as long as I can help it. Also apparently they don’t work until your speed is high enough to hold them to the inside of the tire. Also abrupt bumps or jars to the tires unseat the beads. Seemed janky to me.
