I guess you guys miss the back humor in this. We were texting last night about buying 2500 diesel trucks and I got busy with something and had to chat later.

First thing I do? Yep, post on his thread that it is gay. He knows we are both getting HD trucks for different reasons. In fact, I have an appointment tomorrow to "look" at a brand new LTZ 3500 Duramax for 50500.00.

Buying a Duramax is just different enough in my book. Not a lot you can nitpick on a GM diesel, other than the interiors being kinda gay.

Don't think for one second that hasn't been a concideration. As expensive as newer diesels are, this becomes a viable option really quick.

I may go look at this truck tomorrow. However, 9 years old, 3/4 ton, low miles, and 35000.00.

The prices are insane. A co-worker's father sold a beautiful custom International diesel with low miles about a year ago. It was custom built, they bought it new and used it to haul their dragster around. Had a small living quarters in it as well. It was the cat's meow. Not sure how much he let it go for, but it was a hauler's dream. You will find the right truck!

It is crazy how much trucks are. Now don't get me wrong, last week when I was driving a new 16' LTZ 3500 I knew where that money was invested.

However, like a bunch of morons, we just keep buying them. Now days, working on a diesel is also not done by the Shadetree Mechanic either. This actually scares the shit out of me. My 05' CTD cost me in repairs 7500.00 in one swipe, and I did all the work!!!

I'd have a hard time not buying that 07, that low of miles without having to deal with DEF = sweetness.
