I love it up there! I was born in St. John’s just north of Lansing.

I have friends that live up in Escanaba. I miss hiking up there with them!

Originally from a town 20 minutes south of the Bridge so I'm still considered a "Troll" but I've always loved the U.P. I actually tried a semester at Northern before tucking tail from the cold and heading back to Michigan State. You folks are hardy.

I have family in Houghton with a cabin in Eagle River (close to Copper Harbor). I'm from Ohio but have been going to the UP for MANY years! Been to/thru Munising many times. It's about a 12hr drive for us but well worth it - at least during the couple "warm" months out of the year ;)

I'll be up in 2 weeks to complete in Bessemer at the Red Bull 400 at Copper Peak.

I love the western UP. that and the border of northern wisco and northern wisco itself are absolutely gorgeous. My drive over to Rhinelander to pick my truck up was awesome!

    Also love Copper Harbor!

Paradise, Copper Harbor, the whole keweenaw peninsula maybe mass city. Munising is a huge tourist destination. we get upwards of 30k people of 4th of July day alone. from about June to late September we get gobs and gobs of visitors

Highway 2 along Lake Michigan (I think it's HWY 2). Go across the bridge to St Ignace, stop for a Pasty and then go left. It's a beautiful drive along Lake Michigan. Sandy beaches and you can just pull over and park your truck. Then go North and check out Lake Superior. It's magic up there.
