Building My Home

Definitely planning on building a detached garage in the future. Not sure if the wife will let me do that before the pool or not though.

 

Crapper tank went in today.


And the vinyl started to go up. Cant wait for the stone to go on.

Funny....you said the crapper tank.....it is a sh*t tank. I got a 2000 gallons concrete tank like that but it was buried much deeper (since it is cold in Nebraska). I often find snakes living inside the opening lids (above the tank and sh8t). How the h8ll did they get in there?

 

Congrats on the house man.. I know how stressful it can be I have built 2 houses and went over on both. I am a real estate appraiser and it is a very common for someone to go over by 10% or 20%. I appraised a house out on the lake here in Texas where they went over by $200,000. The guys wife went nuts was buying all kinds of crazy stuff. All the stress will be worth it in the end.

Stone went up. A little miscommunication with the workers, it's supposed to go over the brick all the way down to the ground. They'll be fixing that tomorrow.

 

Last weekend while we were at the house the painter was telling us someone else built our exact house a couple miles down the road in another neighborhood so we went and found it. Not too shabby but they're stupid Gamecock fans...

Yeah not a good day yesterday. It was heart attack time when NC State was kicking that field goal to win it. But then they missed it and I could breathe again.

 

Good win, got to win them close ones, makes your team stronger. Bama has been fun to watch, qb is a true duel threat, shit he's a freshman. Gonna be interesting, as well as the final teams. House looks awesome, I was at that point a blue moon ago, but getting married and needing a house, we bought. Wouldn't change a thing as I made a substantial amount selling my first house to by the house I'm in now. Salute my friend! And hope everything goes well

Spent Thursday and Friday doing some back fill around the house. Lots of work building a house but I can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel now.

Getting there but not fast enough. Was told again yesterday it's not looking good for Christmas. Wife not happy Ron... Now thinking the first week of January which totally sucks as far as my work schedule. Oh well...

Beautiful home, beautiful piece of property.
I just picked up a 5acre piece of land, but mine is all dirt/sand, i'm going to have to plant a million trees!
And we're also going to be building a home, there's a doublewide on the property now that we're living in but we hate it.
here in Ca, the costs to build are just beyond astronomical so we're looking at modular homes.

 

I can believe that about the wife not being happy. Hopefully things get rolling smoothly for y'all. House looks awesome!

 

Ha, got better today. Got a call from the flooring guy. The wood floors we picked are back ordered for 2 months. Back to the place to pick new ones. Again, wife not happy...

Got some things done this week. My favorite was today though. 32x30 concrete pad for washing my baby.




Wood floors were supposed to start Monday but that has now been pushed back because I have yet to get the gas line ran to the house from the road so can't turn the heat on. Filled out the application for the line Aug 8th. And yet I still don't have gas. Can't stand monopolies!!!

Yep, when the builder called today to reschedule with the flooring guy, the guy said yeah we've been getting that a lot lately. The area is just growing too fast.
