Audew Portable 12V Digital Tire Inflator

Disclosure: Product was given to me for free to test/review for an unbiased opinion.

With that said…let’s be honest, this thing isn’t going to be something that will be used for a trail rig. This is a tire inflator that will be perfect for the wife’s cars, trailer tire use, maybe a daily driver or stored in a quick emergency grab bag and situations of the like. For the everyday person, this fits the bill – not much use for those of us with large aftermarket tires.

Few weeks back, pulled the trailer out of storage for a day at the lake (boats not been used for a month or two). Been a little bit of a cooler winter for us here so needed to check the tire pressures. The overall length for the power cords nothing crazy (10ft overall from power to end of air hose), from the truck cab to the axle on the trailer just doesn’t reach. Sure, I could get an air hose extension and make it just that much easier for future use.

Wife’s car was available and parked in the driveway right next to the trailer - so easy, pulled power from that and hooked up the air hose. Trailer tires PSI spec was 50, tires reading 35PSI. Looked over the little manual that came with the inflator…device allows to set what PSI you would like to inflate it to. Set it to 50PSI, power on the device and boom – maybe 15-20 seconds later right where I need to be. (trailer tires, let’s remember that here! Basically the same size tires that 99% of everyday driving vehicles use as well) I double checked the pressure with a few different devices, all showing me 50PSI – so unit seemed to be on par.

I will say this though, it did seem to be a little noisy. I would attribute this simply to price point and materials used. I feel trying to keep the price down, the plastic resonates a lot of the vibrations and noise out from the compressor.

Bicycle tires, camping equipment/recreational use, sports balls, etc – this things got multiple uses. Just one of those inexpensive tools that could really be used every day without much thought.

The compressor is small enough to not be cumbersome to keep in a DD, helps out in those infrequent events and gives just that little piece of mind.
