First, I promise, I searched, and read every thread.

So I spent 2 hours brushing dog hair off of my fabric seats this morning, and I am ready to pull the trigger on some seat covers. My main goal is to make cleanup of dog hair easier, so I need covers that cover the entire seat sides and back, and that short (pitbull) hair wont stick to. Dog rides in the back, with the back seats folded up, so hair mainly accumulates on the back and sides of the front seats, but I probably want to cover both rows for matching purposes.

I am looking at neoprene coverkings (135/row on auto anything)

    https://www.autoanything.com/seat-covers/61A7669A0A0.aspx

Will dog hair stick to neoprene or will they provide easier cleanup? or do I need to get leather or PVC to accomplish my goal?

I'm also looking at clazzios (399$ - 599$ for both rows)

    https://www.clazzio.com/car-leather-kits.php

The clazzios say they fit captains or 40/20/40 seats. I have the 40/20/40 seat. Does this kit provide a cover for the 20 seat?

Finally, I'm thinking I might be able to skip covers all together if I could find a dog hammock that was tall enough to cover the backs of the front seats, reach down to the floor, and cover the folded up back seat.

Any ideas and suggestions are appreciated!

If you’re looking to be able to brush off dog hair then I recommend covers made from cordura. That’s what I have and everything wipes right off.

I feel like dog hair would stick to neoprene.

Here are the ones I have: https://www.coverking.com/heavy-duty-ballistic.html

Dog hair would stick to neoprene.
I have leather in mine and use a weathertech seat cover with little sheet holders.

Thanks Guys, I found some videos that show neoprene will be just as bad as fabric for hair. I like the idea of the coverking ballistic, but I think I would prioritize a cleaner fit on this one. Going to have to save up for some clazzio covers.

I installed neoprene in my 1st Gen.. What a mistake, dog hair actually weaves into the fabric and hard to remove. I sold them and switched to Marathon Tough Hides, cordura. Dog hair wipes off with a damp rag or vacuums right off. They were still on my 2005 when I sold it last year with no holes.
First thing I purchased for my 2012. I have German Shorthairs so those short spikey hairs like to get into everything.

So I've been researching more and I'm looking between clazzios and diy-ing ebay katzkins. The eBay Katz are the OEM replacement kind, which I believe are the same as clazzios as far as leather inserts with foux leather bolsters.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/2007-2013-...&itm=602057712603&_trksid=p5411.c100167.m2940

Price would be the same-ish but the Katz would be a harder install. I know at least one member here did the eBay Katz and was happy. I'll do some sleeping on it and hit you guys up with pics of the outcome in a few weeks.

The thing I found with leather is that the hair doesn't stick at all so if you roll the windows down it creates a tornado of dog hair inside. Maybe with the cordura it would stay stuck to the fabric until you clean it. :)

I figured out if you roll down all the windows including the back it cleans your truck out.

Haha. That's what I did except I can't roll down the back window just yet. The dealer license is taped to it!

I've looked at Amazon as well as Autoanything, and various other manufacturer websites. I too am in the market for a seat cover. I get in and out of my truck frequently doing my field work, and anything to help reduce the wear and tear on my seats would be a great thing. I've been going back and forth between nylon and canvas. Something that's easy to slip in and out of the truck as well as high durability for long use.

I'm in the same predicament - Kids and dogs are ruining my crappy OEM seats. I was thinking about the Wet Okole , but I may need to upgrade to something heavy duty. DOes anyone have the CoverKing Ballistic covers in a CrewMax? How is the fit on the seats? loose / snug?
    Thanks

I have them. They’re not as tight as neoprene but they’re not loose. They’re very durable though it seems. Everything wipes right off also.

I take my electric leaf blower open all 4 doors and blow my truck out . Between motox and fishing weekly and my dog always with me my truck will get dirty fast and stink so years ago I started blowing it out and vacuum in between blowouts .

Check out marathon seat covers ive had them on for 3 yrs now, when they get dirty you can take off and throw in the washer and then let them air dry.

I went with the Saddleman Canvas for the rear seats and the Saddleman Saddle Blanket for the front. Got them from AutoAnything during the 30% off sale a few days ago. Figure I’d give Saddleman a shot and see how they hold up before I go and spend big money on other seat covers. At the time I got them from AutoAnything they were $118 a set. I didn’t think that was too shabby of a price. There is definitely better quality, but these are a test set.

I like the clazzio going to get them in the next month or so. I have only heard good things, only down side seems to be you will have some sore fingers for a few days.

I found waterproof tight fitting seat covers today at Costco for $20. I'm happy with the purchase considering they look good for the price. I was eyeballing some coverkings on Amazon for roughly $70 but glad I didn't pull the trigger.

Did the Clazzio's and love them myself. Set them out in the sun and install on a warm day so everything is flexible and stretches a bit. Its not a hard install, but your hands will be sore afterwards. [IMG] [IMG]

Saddleman Canvas seats are trash!!! I bought the Saddleman Blanket style covers for my front seats. They fit pretty good on the two seats, but the middle seat/center console is completely wrong...same issue with the Canvas for the backseat. One seat fits damn good, but the larger (80) split does not come close to fitting.
I will be contacting AutoAnything to return both sets of seat covers. I will now be purchasing a high quality set.
Clazzios are nice, but don’t fit my lifestyle. I will be choosing between Marathons, HeadWaters, or another high quality set suggested by y’all.
What suggestions do you guys have?
