    Looking for help,
Bought a new 2019 Tundra a few days ago. Today I plugged in the 7 pin from my boat trailer for the first time. No green trailer icon comes on, and I cant input the trailer the trailer type (Electric or E-O-H Electric over hydrolic). There is also no trailer input and no trailer braking gain, nor is there confirmation when I manually slide the brake gain control lever.

Called the dealership and they said I could bring it in after making an appointment. Zero help over the phone. Hoping a tech could just tell me that Im missing an obvious button or a certain setting.

I do get lights to come on the trailer.

The trailer has disk brakes, and its brand new. Surge brake activated in the tongue.

    Thanks

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but you say you have surge brakes. If you do there would be no activity(resistance) on the brake wire and the truck would not sense a trailer as being connected. Similar to using the 4 pin connector. The braking is controlled by pressure on the tongue.

Correct. You have nothing to control with surge brakes.
