I'm a firm believer in using factory filters for oil. The ones you get from Auto Zone suck. I went to Toyota and got the oil/filter that the owners manual reccomended. What does every one else use? Is there an oil out there that you can actually notice a difference, just curious

I have my wife's '12 4-Runner & my '16 Tundra serviced only at a Toyota dealership to assure I get Toyota parts & their promise to use only synthethic Mobil 1 with every oil change. It is a pain in the backside to change oil myself with these two vehicles because of the skid plate structure. But, be sure to check with your dealership when you sign your Work Order that the WO specifically states Mobil 1, if you don't see it, get the WO rewritten so that it explicitly states Mobil 1. Toyota specifically recommends Mobil 1 with all their vehicles.

I use factory Toyota filters. They are cheaper anyway.

Awesome! We just got Samantha a 14 Rrunner. She loves it, and so do I, this is our fourth one, and Mobile 1 is the best

Yeah, 4Runners are really super nice & especially reliable trucks. They are all made in Japan where quality control in that factory is just awesome.

My wife couldn't live her runabout lifestyle without her 4Runner. She can open the door & slide right in & out without ever having to step UP or DOWN, she's 5-10 & her tush slides right into the seat like sitting in her living room chair.

I bought some OEM filters off Craigslist. Maybe $3 a piece. Best way to go IMHO.

On my Tacoma I use only OEM filters and Castrol synthetic. I order filters 5 at time on Amazon. Usually get them from a Toyota dealer in Ga.
