this is what makes this whole project fun for me. it's like a big puzzle.

when we put the secondaries on up front, as i mentioned earlier, clearance was very tight with the kinetik arms. crawling under the truck the other day, i fully realized how tight. this is the passenger side. yes, a little bit of the hose rubbed off...

    Photo Apr 13, 4 32 03 PM.jpg

bypasses have since come off the truck. traded a few emails with total chaos and new tabs are on their way. i'll cut the original ones off and move the new ones back. TC recommended about 5/8" clearance between the bypass and the arm. tweak and re-tweak. all fun.

Hey man, would you mind measuring the length of the 8020 extrusions for your prinsu rack? I'm planning to order some to make my own rack but am not sure what length to get. Eventually I'll probably get the prinsu cabrack, so I want it to match the width of that.

hey smart people. kinda looking at you @Lars.

need some mounting suggestions. i’m thinking this is where the yaesu should go.

    3C518027-B9A7-48D3-BBAA-5ABDB8955245.jpg

passenger side footwell. puts it up and out of the way. easy access to the data port and wiring for antenna, power and faceplate.

is there a way to get the plastic piece off that is under the glove box? if i can, then i can bolt the unit to a cross bar or a heavy duty strapping brace to take the load off the plastic. not seeing how to get it off though. maybe down through the glove box?

Can't go wrong with those. I ran them on my FJ and loved them. Great value

Edit: Did you only replace 2/4 bump stops up front or all 4?

well... didn’t quite finish but super close. all the new 1/0 cable (pos & neg) is run, sleeved and taped up. it’s a job and took longer than i expected but i’m burnt and my knuckles say no more...

    6B7DB160-EF69-4329-A423-21C4C8EC7A21.jpg

plan for tomorrow is to at least get everything connected back to the main battery and start the truck. if there’s time, i’ll connect the secondary. need to get running so i can get back to @ColoradoTJ on friday for more welding fun.

    :( :annoyed: :smack:

will yours fit 2 odyssey group 34 pc-1500s? biggest issue i have is the vertical mounting of the batteries and trying to find clearance for your clamps. it's tight but doable. either way, with the new 1/0 cable, i'm all set to drop in a 250a alternator at some point down the road.

curious to see what you guys came up with for the dual batteries.

well, hmm. have not been able to get the xfaktr dual battery tray to fit, at least not with the sdhq battery clamps. tried with the factory clamps and there’s just not enough room with the new power cables. pretty bummed about the xfaktr tray. need to figure something out so i can get the fridge and a few other things powered up.

@sdhq_offroad i’m even more interested in what you guys came up with. especially if it fits the odyssey PC1500s.

@the_midwesterner still interested in the xfaktr tray? i’ll make you a deal. maybe you’ll have better luck with it.
