When I saw mine at the dealership I had to have it. Its easy to find in a parking lot, when you forgot which row you are in. :oldglory:

Nice! Cavalry blue and Cement are the nicest Tundra colors IMO.

First, most of my cars have been Honda mostly because of reliability and looks and I always knew Toyota would be a car/truck I'll have someday. Always loved Tundras specially when the 2nd Gen was launched but I couldn't afford it at the time. In addition, I always wanted a Jeep Wrangler so, in 2016 I bought my first Wrangler, a 2-dr, (because in my opinion, a JKU is more an SUV than a Wrangler) and started doing offroad weekend trips with my family. I soon realized that the Wrangler was to small for the 4 of us plus camping gear, etc, etc, so we end up driving to cars to every trip, the Wrangler and a Honda Ridgeline.

A year after getting the 2-dr Wrangler I felt the "need" for a bigger offroad vehicle, got a "little" crazy  and after "convincing" my wife (yeah right! - that never happened) I got home with the SUV, yes the SUV - a JKU (4-dr Wrangler :anonymous: ) but we were still driving two vehicles to those kind of trips . Now there really is a need for a Tundra, to tow the JKU and keep all our gear in the Tundra, hence ITOWJKS. Like a said before, I been "eyeing" Tundras for years and when the TRDPro in Cement came out in 2017 I felt in love with it mainly because of 2 things: PRO and Cement (grey is my favorite color and that grey.....). I tried to get one but apparently I was too late plus didn't want to pay that much plus mark up.

So I kept researching and decided I wanted to buy a Limited 4x4 TRD Offroad. Reasons, I'm a fan of sunroofs, I like "leather" and the "greatest sound system ever", the JBL Entune. Plus it is less expensive, not cheaper, than the Platinum with the options I was looking for.

Why a Cavalry Blue and not Cement?... Simply because there are too many out there and don't get me wrong, they ALL look awesome, Cavalry Blue was a new color for 2018 and it grew a lot on me and don't regret it.

What I don't like about the Limited Cavalry Blue.... JBL Entune sucks big time, subwoofer??? what subwoofer??? There's no bass coming out of that black box behind the rear seats and I don't like chrome, not all replacement color match parts are available yet! Plus I would have preferred to get it with black leather seats but the only one available when I went to buy, relatively close, had light grey interior...

Now, my first "upgrade" if you will (it's kinda silly but who doesn't need one):

    TlLQzhxtRAeXrjqpW6BzNg.jpg

It was holding pretty well on that location but not 100% of the time so I decided to move it to the windshield.

Sound system again!... To be honest, I didn't do much research when looking to upgrade the AWFUL JBL "premium audio". Why??? Just because I couldn't stand it anymore. Something as simple as bass, I wanted more bass. That JBL subwoofer sucks pretty bad and I needed BOOM BOOM. When I first did search for upgrades I was looking for a "non-intrusive" system, meaning no wire cutting/splicing, etc. because I wanted to keep the integrity of the harnesses (O.C.D. at it's best form) and two companies showed up: ********* and oemaudioplus. I decided to go with oemaudioplus just because it was right on my way to work and could witness the system in person. Their demo truck sounds AMAZING, it has everything I was looking for: more volume output (A LOT), more bass (A LOT), clear sound. I was convinced 30sec after I started listening to the demo... the downside that is an SR5 Tundra with no JBL (don't know if there are SR5 with factory JBL) and all you could get for a Limited (or JBL equipped Tundra) is a subwoofer (or two) with amp (only for sub/s) and upgraded tweeters compared to the non-JBL which involves more (it also cost more)...

Do I like it? Yes, I got my BOOM BOOM (A LOT more that factory) and everything is plug-n-play. Did I get everything I was looking for? To be honest, no. Didn't get that extra volume output from the rest of the system. Am I satisfied with the oemaudioplus product? Yes, Oemaudioplus is good, in my opinion, great quality. Their service, TOP NOTCH. Their attention to the customer is SUPERB. One of the best companies I have ever dealt with, they are all about the customer.

Obviously, still looking to get that extra output keeping the factory headunit and without cutting/splicing, etc. Enough said.... pictures!!!

I had a few rolls of Dynamat in the garage for years so.... Got home, "removed the system" and did this...

    Ordered a few goodies...

    In the meantime,

Leitner Designs Active Cargo System installed and looking great. Options: extra load bar kit (for total of 3), RTT brackets, universal mounting plate (x2), gear pod, gear pod XL. Great bed rack system, easy to install, aluminum construction (lightweight), installation instructions are on point and plenty of visibility through the back window.
Bernard, the owner of Leitner Designs is a great guy, down to earth, awesome to deal with. I didn’t take any installation pictures/video but you can head over to “you tube” and search for autoedit (he did an installation video of this rack on his ram truck.

With the Leitner setup and tent, what are your plans for rear suspension setup? Shackles? Leaf? Airbags? Or stock?
