I've been experiencing issues with my remote keyless entry for the past few weeks on my brand new Tundra. It would work intermittently, or sometimes not at all. The local dealer replaced the module in the headliner suspecting that it was the issue. Well the problem continued. So, I had it back to the dealer this morning, and through information from the Toyota Tech line, we learned that the installation of LED bulbs interferes with the remote keyless entry in the new Tundras. So, the nice kit I got from Precision LED will likely have to be removed. Not happy. Anyone else experiencing similar issues?

It has been mentioned on here a few times.

Same but different: A while back my garage door remotes got real iffy, not working most of the time or range was significantly reduced. Research and tech support pointed to new LED lighting in the area,
my house and neighbors. I had to upgrade my keypad and remotes.

The LEDs somehow interfer with certain frequencies.

    Lost track after #1.
If you're looking for another set, I've been using the ones from Headlight Revolution w/no issues.

THat was suggested by the Toyota Tech Line, so there may be something to it. Thanks and I'll give it a try!

Years ago I had the same issue with my 2002 Tundra AFTER replacing the cargo 3rd brake light bulb AND the 2 adjacent bulbs to LED at the same time.

What happened after was my fob stopped working at distance and only worked when about a foot away from the truck.

Lived with it until recently and switched to the ZEVO Sylvanias for the 2 cargo bulbs and my fob works at distance again. The brake light still has the old LED bulb. Seems as if its just the cargos (with cheap LED bulbs) that mess things up.

Mine was the opposite. I went with cheap ones from Amazon and have no problem. The thread I linked to above indicates that it is the VLEDs, as well as OP's $40 Precision LED cargo bulbs that are the culprits.

Buy ZEVO Sylvanias then. That fixed mine.
