They should work. It is the right type of bulb. 7440/7443 is what you need.

Ok, so I have a '19 TRD off road. I am not savvy when it comes to electrical stuff. If you wanna learn about guns, or directional drilling, or what not to say to your spouse, I'm your guy. What I'm asking is someone to spell it out for me what I need to get and do to make my front and rear turn signals LED w/out the hyperflash. I already have a set of the 7444NA LEDs but they hyperflashed when just using the turn signal. But when I did the flashers, they worked fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you install resistors for the Tuen signals? I used one on each corner of the truck. 50w 6 ohm resisters. Here is a good video to help. It’ll still apply to 2019 trd. Hope that helps

Yes. Signal bulbs should both be same...7443 base on the LED.

Flashers will work fine without resistors, but not the turn signals. Save yourself some work if you're doing all four corners...see Post 27. Use ONE 50W 3ohm resistor (available from Amazon) behind each tail light just like the HR video in Post 27.

Damn well got the bulbs today and they hyper blink and the new bulbs will not illuminate at all plugged in Both ways (to check polarity). If they don’t even illuminate will the resistors fix that issue? Secondly if you buy led tail lights with the resistor built in should it correct the hyper flash if using led turn signal front bulbs?

I have changed out the following to led and here are the bulbs I used along with putting a resistor between the turn signal wires to eliminate hyperflashing.

    (1) You expected to not require resistors? Guess you should have bought the LED recommended by people that said they have no hyperflash when they convert only 2018/2019 fronts.
    (2) If the LED doesn't illuminate, then resistors will not solve that problem. Resistors only address hyper-flash.
    (3) I don't know of any LED "with resistor built in"...Sounds like bs from those that said they didn't need resistors.
    (4) If you want to do the rears along with the fronts, you can use a single 50W 3ohm resistor behind each tail light, and save buying all those resistors from people who want to sell as many resistors as they can.

1.) I wanted to see if it did not require a resistor since it was a 19 model. If it needed them I was ready to do it.
2.) it seems like I have the incorrect bulb
The one I pulled out of the truck uses the dual filament 7444na but only uses one filament, and has 2 wires instead of 3.
3.) I was hoping in 2019 the BCM would be update and l.e.d. Friendly. :anonymous:
4.) guess the 50w resistor is the way to go after I get the correct bulbs.

    (1) Now, without further doubt, you have your answer.
    (2) The bulb out of my 2018 LED headlights was actually a 7444NAK. If you have an LED with a 7440/7443 base, then it's the right bulb.
    (3) If your truck has amber turn signals, then NO, it is using both filaments of the 7444NAK for signals, even if it only has two wires. Both filaments flash ON, then both filaments turn OFF...it's magic.
    (4) The BCM IS probably different to compensate for the LED strip(s), but remember that the rear signal (921) is still an incandescent and hyperflashing is still needed if that bulb burns out.

This is the only LED I recommend for the 2018+ front turn signals: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P9T7D1W?th=1

If this was the LED you had, then you would have the correct LED...see this in description:
    • 【FITMENT】7443 7440 T20 7441 W21W 7440A 7440NA 7440SV 7440LL 7443LL 7443NA 7443R 7444 7444LL 7444NA 992 WY21W W21/5W 7440ST 7443ST 7440AL 7443-SCK 7443-SRCK etc. Non-polarity for easy installation, just plug and play.

As for resistors, the 50W part of the specification is not as important as the OHMS rating. If you must install a separate resistor at every bulb you convert, then you can use 6ohm at EVERY CORNER. If you want to do the least work, then install only ONE 3ohm resistor behind each tail light.

For signal LEDs all four corners, these are the resistors I used (ONE behind each tail light). These are green, others are gold, but color is not important for this application. Note that you will have to solder wires onto the terminals on each end of the resistor, but you can find 50W 3ohm resistors on Amazon with wires already soldered to the terminals. Are the supplied wires long enough for this purpose?...I don't know: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0089A8MKI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Use Posi-taps if you don't want to butcher up your truck wires: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00389R8KU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I recommend these 921 LEDs for the rear signals, simply because I found nothing better. If you have another LED you want to try, feel free, but I can't tell you how it's going to work out for you: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KW1YLXX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The problem with that LED is immediately obvious: A quick look at the contacts reveals that LED has only one contact where the incandescent 7444NA has four contacts. That LED is suitable ONLY for the single element application or a 7440 base (example: reverse lights, but not in amber).

You can use a 7443/7444 dual element bulb in a 7440 application, but NOT the other way around. A 7443/7444 bulb used in a 7440 single-element application only illuminates the low power level (single element), but a 7440 bulb in a 7443/7444 application won't work.

Ok I’m an idiot I ordered 2 sets of bulbs from Amazon that was the reverse light LED. I was thinking it was the turn signal LED.

But hey they did work in my reverse lights

    Update
    1) The 2019 new BCM’s are in-fact tolerant of the LED bulbs they require NO resistor and do not hyper flash.

I have a 2019 and when I changed my bulbs one at a time it hyper flashed until I put a resistor in.

So I see in that post you purchased the led headlight bulb. Did your truck not come with them from the factory?

Ahhh mine is the factory led headlight the C style that’s prob why it doesn’t require the resistor.

Just curios if anyone else ran into this issue. So I did all the interior lights, cargo and 3rd brake light (I bought the ones referenced in post 36) . And I noticed when the the interior lights are on it seems like the car is not receiving the rf signal to lock. Once the interior lights go off it works fine. Anyone else experience this?

I'm the one that posted #36 and I have no issues at all with RF interfere. I've been able to lock and unlock my truck from 75 feet away. I have all my interior lights done along with all rear lights and 3rd brake light.

So it actually seems to be the cargo lights that are casing the issue.
