You need to do your research though to determine what you want/need.

I went with a complete Morimoto Mini D2S kit with Apollo 2.0 shrouds, XB35w ballasts, 5500k bulbs, Motocontrol BiXenon harness, and the XSB (Switchback) demon eyes. All Morimoto stuff.

Someday I hope to write a How to thread on the retrofit I did. Before I do that, if you are serious about doing one send me a message or post on here and I'll try to give you the best advice I can.

So did you just buy a ome housing and go from there? Where did you do all your research? Lights and something with my grill and surround are my next projects.

I had a spare pair if OEM headlights I used for the retrofit. The benefits of going with OEM are that you will have a better quality lens and housing. The downside is the permaseal that is used to seal our headlights is a complete pain. TYC and other aftermarket headlights use butyl to seal them. It is much easier to separate.

I used some other DIY threads on some other tundra forums as my guide. Also some other DIY threads from other car forums. I did run into some surprises that I didn't expect. So I would want to cover those things in my thread.

Hopefully I will have my DIY thread completed before you get too into it. It's all about how much money you want to spend and how easy or difficult the install will be.

Also I didn't add on many bells and whistles, just the DRL demon eyes. But I don't think I will hook them up in switchback mode.
I haven't hooked the demon eyes up on the truck yet, but this is what they looked like in my house when I was testing them

Thanks brother! They make such a difference, it's crazy. I love driving my truck at night now. I know I will get used to it, but the blue cutoff line is cool to see while driving.

How are you liking the Plastidip on the bumper ends? Is it staying on? Was it pretty simple to do? Thanks

It is holding up fine. I haven't had any issues with it. It was simple to do, I taped off the area and taped plastic drop cloth to prevent overspray. I couldn't stand the chrome, though I would prefer a smooth, gloss, finish, like powdercoat or a vinyl wrap over the dull textured finish of plastdip. I may look into both for this summer.

Did you have to remove them before dipping ? It looks like it would be hard to get between the top of the cap and the fender.

No. I didn't remove anything. Just taped and sprayed. It got in all the gaps, etc. pretty good.

What would look great is a SS Bull Bar. Would top off the front end a lot.

Well it's been a while since I made an addition. I planned to have some items powdercoated black this summer but the PC shop was really backed up, so that will have to wait.

I have done a lot of research into what I am going to replace my stock fogs with, soon I should have my solution, can't wait!

I will update once I get the new lights..

Also recently added a console logo from an awesome member on here... @Achuop

    Yes Sir.
Check I did a DIY on it. I should really take some better quality pictures of my retrofit in different lighting, etc.

Here is the link to the DIY with more pics/details...

Thanks! I somewhat regret not doing an LED DRL, and I have contemplated opening them back up and adding one, but I really do like the amber DRL's for some reason...
