    The shift knob is the TRD PRO shift knob for the Tacoma, it's pricey, the boot is from eBay, it's cheap. Pop the surround off thats around the shifter, install the boot, make sure it's tucked in good and not in the little slots where the surround snaps in. There are 2 little tab things on the bottom of the shift knob that need cutting off, that way the boot comes up to the bottom of the knob. Takes about 5-10 minutes. Be careful popping the surround up. There are better write ups around here, but that is pretty much it.

    Well.....this really snowballed, as usual with truck mods.
    1. My daughter broke the rear 12v outlet by accident by hitting her knee on something plugged into it. So I ordered a new outlet (for her dvd player)
    2. and figured I'd add a dual usb quick charge back there too. I might install a second dual usb in the rear to even out the look.
    3.Then said I want a dual usb quick charge in front too (even though I have the under console wireless charger mod) but thought one with a volt meter would be nice.
    4. Unbeknownst to me the rear 12v outlet i ordered came in a set of 2 so I threw the other one up front where I had just installed my usb port for my android auto plug in.
    5. So I had to relocate that andoid auto usb somewhere so I chose the center console (which I like much better as far as location goes, because I can pull out just as much cord as I need)
    6. While I had the console partiatlly apart, I figured I'd take it completely apart and add reflective insulation, closed cell foam, and mass loaded vinyl sound deadening under there. So a 15 minute and $5 repair turned into 3 hours and more than $5 haha and I still need to vacuum and clean up tomorrow.
    But I have lots of charging options now, some cool blue lights, and no more cord running across my cupholders when I wanna plug my phone in to run android auto.
