A sub enclosure can be gotten at Fox Acoustics, where I got it...and I ordered 10" Kicker shallow subwoofers from Crutchfield. I found a great installer in Los Angeles who already worked with the enclosure I have and knew what would fit into the Tundra and let me pick the speakers and amp that would go best.

    Where are you located?

That’s a pretty broad question but I strongly suggest checking out www.tech12volts.com ... he specializes in Tundra audio and I’ve heard countless mentions of how incredible his quality, Price, and Customer Service is.

Welcome! Budget? Call @james@tech12volts, he’ll put together a package to fit your wallet. You’ll get harnesses and MDF mounting frames, which you need. He’s been the vendor for several recent group buys and well respected here, Tundra specific.

The stock system is certainly bad, a simple headunit upgrade improves sound.

I just purchased a system today from James at tech 12volts super knowledgeable guy. And after 17 emails back and fourth before lunch. I went with tech 12v because you do get much more bang for your buck with name brand quality components. I did a bunch of research with tundra specific audio company’s. And I went with @james@tech12volts and I live in San Antonio. (To put things in perspective):hattip:

After months of debating using a Fosgate amp and LOC from Amazon I ended up with a Taco Tunes amp because it is simple and PNP. I got Infinity Kappa Xovers from Crutchfield on sale. Included all mounting and wire adapters. I went simple on sub with a Fosgate 10" shallow sub that fits behind rear seat. Big upgrade from stock. Only problem I have with TT is lack of support after sale. I just tuned the amp by ear because I could never get their tuner download to work. I requested they just send me one and no reply. Also no written instructions with their equipment. Maybe I am old school but not one to fiddle with a computer while trying to install when simple printed wire diagram will work.

No such thing as “best”. Sound is subjective and everyone hears things differently. Best bet is to visit all your local installers and demo whatever they carry. A few brands I’m particular to are Hertz/audison, focal and AudioFrog

I’ve replaced everything in my 17. My fronts have been Focal components the last 6 months. My left front blew and I just replaced with JBL Stadiums. Holy shit! They make the Focal sound like stock. Best speaker I have heard in a long time.
