    Hey guys,

I am twisted on what to do.

I recently added these fender flares to my truck, but I left them the matte black color they came as. Originally I was going to have these painted to match, but I got lazy and just installed them as is.

I keep going back and forth on if I like the look of the matte black, or if I should just choke up the money and get these painted. At times it looks kind of cool, and it matches the blacked out badges/front bumpers. But other times, it looks cheap.

Honest thoughts needed. What do you guys think of it how it is?

Okay I am in agreement that I need to paint :)

Now I am trying to decide if it is best to take these to an autobody shop, or maybe just buy them painted? These are the rough country set, not bushwacker.

I keep getting quotes for painting that seem outrageous.

What did you guys do that have painted flares?

I can paint as well as I can draw a straight line after drinking a gallon of coffee.

I would either have to buy them or have them painted and knowing me I would buy them in the color I want, put them up to my truck and then have the color matched by someone that knows what they are doing and has the proper paint to do so.

If you are thinking of buying them painted then I would try it yourself and see the results.

Then if you didnt like them go ahead and buy another set

I’d rather not list. My wife might see it.
Paint... it'll give you the finished look.

I'd have em' painted by a shop. Have you seen other trucks of your color with flares not painted? Armor All don't do em' justice. Painting them would be best. Just my two cents.

Do you have any idea what a ballpark price would be to get this done? Just something I can use to compare to quotes I might get?

Paint! I have a black crewmax and am debating this issue, but seeing this pic helped me decide that I need to paint mine as well. Black on black unpainted is not-so-good IMO.

I GOT PLANS!.... Implementation is another topic.
My truck came with painted ones...then one got crushed going into a tight garage. But I was able to find some aftermarket painted replacements....almost went the matte black but all the painted ones I see make the truck look finished out.

Paint. Looks better. Mine aren't painted. Pointless. Would be scratched up bad first time going to my wheeling place.

I've seen unpainted fender flares on different colors than black that looked good... But two differrent black shades next to each other just doesn't look right to me.

Hey guys - thanks for the feedback! I ended up getting this painted at a local body shop last week, and snapped this pic down at the beach to show them off!
