Cool! How does 19 July work for you? That's the current planned day. Plan is to link up that morning, do part of the trail. Camp out somewhere along the way. Eat some food, get some rest and finish the next day.
I leave in a couple of weeks and return the 2nd of July. The 19th just seemed like a good date.

3 1/2 weeks to go! Who's still down? It has been awhile, just checking to see if life has throw any curve balls. Who's still planning on going?

Okay, like Jose said, IHOP in the Springs seems to be a good spot to rally.

2290 Southgate Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80906

As far as food, do we all bring something? Or do we do a communal cooking thing? I dont have any portable cooking things yet but it does give me an excuse to go get some.

What do y'all want to do? Also are there any weird things like, food allergies or weirder things like vegans?

We having breakfast there or just meeting? Asking cos if I’m at an IHOP and not having pancakes someone is gonna die. Just saying.

I got outdoor cooking stuff if we decide to do communal food. Tacos?

I'm down for eating there. Tacos sound good!

    I don't eat pork.
Other than that I'm good for anything.
Should we do like a potluck list for items people can sign up for type style?

I was out here on Monday. Currently you can only go about 5.5 miles from the start at sand dunes until they have the pass closed and barricaded :(

I’d guess the water that was flowing through where the trail is supposed to go. It was a bit deep and I’m not sure how solid the bottom was. I’d guess the trucks could probably make it but they gotta close it for the people going back there in their Subarus with no common sense...

I meant to take a picture but I retreated to the truck before the mosquitos carried me away.
