Hey man! Nice build so far. Can you take a pic of how you bolted up the rotopax mounts? Thank you!

Cool site. Read an article that really hit home, title something like "When your Overland Rig is your daily driver."

What exactly were you wanting to see? The mounts are just bolted on. Are you getting at the security of them?

Yeah the security will be an issue. At the very least I bought the locking rotopax mounts, so in order to steal the rotopax, you have to have tools handy and the time and stealth to climb into the truck and unbolt them. If I happen upon you in the process, it could very well be the last thing you do (oooo look at this internet tough guy). I use gun locks for locking down the Yeti, Ax, and Shovel etc.

Quick question for you regarding the CTE bumper. Have you used it as a high lift jack point?

Not yet. If I did, only way I would do it is with an attachment through the recovery point.

This is how mine is set up. Nothing can get stolen with the tailgate up, the jack and second spare are locked 12EEC387-C51F-43E6-B75C-8166218B2E34.jpg

Picked up some nice decals from TRDBeast. My husky liners are filthy and will need to get cleaned up before I put them on. But overall they look great. Check out his stuff with the link above, he provided a few extras and some Yeti stickers.

I originally purchased NFAB Nerf bars at the same time I bought the truck. They were waiting at the house before the truck came. Wife asked for a step since I was putting on big tires and the truck was already lifted, and didnt have a clear vision for the truck at the time.

Well now that Im in a position to get more time off for trips, and the truck is ready, its time to drop the drop step and get real sliders. Heading to Big Bend in a couple days.

I've been doing a lot of this lately :spending:

So this time around, to make the CFO (wife) happy I had to go affordable. I picked up the M1 Rock Sliders from Smittybilt off Amazon for ~$550. I sold my Nerf bars for the same price so it worked out.

I think they look good overall, and for the price point I think they look great. The wife loves the step.

Dang I wish I could have given you my feedback before you ordered these. I was going cheap too and ordered these. I wish I spent a few hundred more on some real sliders. The M1’s work great as steps, but these are not sliders. The steel wall thickness is the same for jeeps, and is not for 7,000+ pound trucks. My rails bent and dented the first time I used them on rocks. Also the bottom rail is too low and really cuts down on under carriage clearance. Again these are not sliders for our trucks.

Did Expedition One release their high clearance rear bumper? I saw you added this to your list.

Well shit. Never heard that during any of my research. Checked a few threads here too. Tough install, I agree with, saw that a lot in threads, and experienced it. But never heard they dented up so easily. Oh well, we will see how they do and I will just have to replace them if they perform how you say.

The expedition one is released. I think Smslavin is running it.

I’ll check out the bumper. Been looking for a new one.

If you aren’t planning on hitting rocks the M1 will be fine. But mine only made it through one run. I can show you the picks.

I was gonna ask do they sit to low I also wanted sliders that protect the truck from a dumbass from opening there door into my truck. Most sliders I’m reading want u to drill 6 holes in the frame and after reading up that really weakens the frame so I don’t wanna do that either

ARB 1250. Just right for coming out towards the rear. If you had plans to mount to the side, would go bigger.
