Looking for advice. I want to add dual exhaust to my 5.7 and I do work for a muffler shop and the guy quoted me around $400 for Magnaflow with 2 mufflers and 2 pipes with chrome tips installed. I would ideally like to see a throaty sound and increased power and mpg. Low end torque is not a huge deal as I don't see myself pulling anything significantly heavy. Is this a good system/ price?

A little of this and a little of that.

I would add just a couple of bucks to that and go with a @dirtydeeds system. Much better in the power whrealm of things.

DO you have any hands on experience ? By looking at the specs beside running a little cooler then Magnuson, most likely due to second cooler, higher volume, lower boost , I don't see much difference at the wheel.
Unless you plan to modify extensively and that would make almost impossible to pass the smog after, here in the State, I cant see much difference.

I wish they show a dyno chart from 1500 rpm to 3000 rpm so we can see what is the difference vs the stock.
All the dyno and what you see on youtube are just high rpm results.
If you have more info,, by all means. Share it with us.

Twice the price... The TRD superchargers are already overpriced as it is compared to most superchargers.

    Curse you Perry the Platypus!
Not sure which muffler they will be installing but you're roughly looking at $100 per muffler/pipe/tip and $100 per muffler installation. I don't think that's a bad price at all. I'm willing to bet the piping is aluminized steel but depending where you are located, that's may not be a bad thing.

If this truck is running stock exhaust manifolds the proposed set up is going to lose a significant amount of low end torque.

You really want a single exhaust with stock tailpipe as the exit with stock manifolds. Now long tune headers are a completely different subject. With long tubes you wanna run dual 3”

TRD Pro sticker good for 5hp...LOL.

Longtube headers married up to BA Muffler and programmer cheapest way IMO best bang for your buck.

I’ve been in a brand new trd pro, back when they first came out, in Sedona. Knee high whoops, about 50mph. So smooth if your eyes were closed you wouldn’t know you were in knee high whoops.
