I had a 2010 Crew Max with a Ready Lift SST 3” Front, 2” rear with 35” tires.
After installation and alignment, the installer could not get the camber right, and inflated my tires to 55 PSI.
The ride was tough, hard, not great.
This straightened the tires up so they were not so much at a “bulldog” stance, but still wore heavy on the outside.
I would like to put the same kit in my 2018 Crew Max, and spoke with Ready Lift and they said that the install was not done properly.

Does anyone have any experience with this?
If I get the same kit, should the camber be correct if installed properly so I can run normal tire pressure?

    Thank you!

I have the same kit on my 13. Absolutely no issues at all with the install (I did it myself) and had the alignment done at the dealer. My tires are currently at 35 to 40. I don't see it in the instructions, but if I recall correctly, the front spacers have an arrow on them that is supposed to be pointed toward the outside. See pic. I am betting that is the reason why Readylift said the install was wrong.

Every truck is a little different. A 3 inch front lift is going to require a uca for most

Thank you so much for your reply!
This is EXACTLY the type of reply I was looking for!
I know there are so many brands out there, but I wanted to stay with Ready Lift.
I’m glad your experience was good, and I spoke with a local mechanic that is familiar with them and he assured that it would be installed right.
The guy that installed my original is a great guy, but doesn’t work on Tundras a whole lot.
    Your truck looks great!

    @Tundra234
Ready Lift also said that something needed to be loosened before the install. I cannot remember the part right now, but talked to mechanic about it, and he knew exactly what I was referring to.
    Good news!

Is your ride stiffer than original?
    Close to factory?

That would be the lower control arm bolt. It allows it to drop freely so you dont have to fight the suspension while putting the strut back in. Readylift has youtube videos showing how to install the kit. Fyi, Amazon has the cheapest price that i have seen on the 3/2 SST kit. When you do get your new kit, see if it has those arrows that I was referring to. I cant see mine with it installed lol. The ride isnt bad at all. I would say really close to factory. Readylift designs their kits that way. You could always put in different shocks while you have it apart.

55 psi? No wonder your ride was rough, of course, the spacer lift more than likely contributed to that also. I know it did for mine before I upgraded to C/O’s.

Reason you couldn’t get camber is because you probably needed UCA’s. Your present truck may or may not need them. My coilovers are set at 3” and I have no problems with alignment.

I’d like to think if the lift wasn’t installed properly, they would’ve noticed right off the bat. I installed my RC spacer wrong the first time on one side and it stuck out like a sore thumb.

    Thanks for the reply!
Yeah, they said they just couldn’t get the camber right with no other solutions but psi offered.
Now that I have done more research and asked questions it should be all good!
    UCA’s. I’ll remember that!

Yes that is the kit. As @Law stated, every truck is different. I didnt need UCA's for mine. From what i can tell, needing new UCA's is common once you start going 4 inches or higher.

Was it a night and day difference going from a spacer kit to coilovers? Did you get a true 3 inch up front? I would like to switch over one day but dont want to lose any lift height from where i am now.

I wouldn’t say night and day at first. The coilovers still needed a week or so to break in, but you could tell it took bumps better.
After the break-in period was over, you could tell a big difference.

I got the Toytec BOSS thread adjustable coilovers so even if I lost some height, I can adjust them to where I want.
But as far as losing height, no I didn’t lose a centimeter.

Sweet. I am considering replacing the spacer with these at some point, especially if I wont lose any height at all. My local shop said to leave the Readylift 3/2 kit in but swap the shocks for the Bilsteins. That would make it unlevel by bringing the front up a bit higher.

Haven’t heard one bad thing about Toytec so far.

Only thing I heard happening was one guy on here’s coils snapped. (Found out a bad batch had slipped through quality control) He came on here talking about it right after it happened, Toytec jumped right on it, sent him new coils at no cost and paid for a mechanic to swap them out. Happened on a Friday afternoon and he was on new coils by Monday evening.

That’s what I call good customer service!

This shop shouldn’t be trusted. The a arms and cv’s aren’t meant to ride around 4+ inches higher than stock. The angle will be intense and ride terribly. Alignment will also be a mess

I hear ya there. Im leaning towards the Toytecs to replace the spacers at some point. Just hit 80,000 on my stock struts and shocks. Probably early to replace them yet.

Na 80k miles is plenty. They have to be pretty worn out :)
