Visiting Waimanalo, Oahu and looking for a ride.

My wife and I are currently visiting (oct. 10'16) Waimanalo, HI, and are looking at road or trail recommendations for a day out exploring with our jeep rental (yuck). If anyone has any must destinations they would like to share please let me know. Actually if anyone wants to take the wife and I out 4x4/trail riding for an afternoon sometime this week I would gladly push some cash your way and promise an afternoon exploring backcountry of Alberta Canada when you come our way.

Not off-roaring, but make sure you drive all the way up Tantalus Rd. The entrance is behind the punch bowl and at the top you are looking down on Waikiki and can see all of the southeast coast.

Also, Pali lookout offers a great view as well.

 

Second this, Tantalus Rd (Roundtop) is an awesome road with awesome views. Hiking trails too, some pretty steep.

I've been to Oahu 50 or so times, never been offroad but I'm told that there are some beaches to drive on in the southwest.

Just for road driving see the attachment. It starts in Waikiki, but you can adjust for Waimanalo.

I highly recommend Giovani's shrimp truck on the North Shore and Matsumoto's in Haleiwa, best shave ice on the island.
