I have a 2008 tundra sr5 5.7L, i am looking to buy a larger fuel tank. I know they exist bc there are videos and forums about them. Problem is that I CAN NOT FIND THEM ANYWHERE! EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING! Would someone please point me in the right direction? Carid.com is no good site has been took down. I have to have a bigger tank. I thought a transfer tank as well but would rather have what little bed space i have left. If replacement tank isnt possible, what would be a good electric pump to use on plumbing it directly to the tank? Thanks in advance!

transferflow tanks may still be available. otherwise, search for the 38 gallon fuel tank swap.

I know it's not exactly what your looking for, but 5 gal gas cans are cheap. $10+ a piece. I was thinking the same thing until I started seeing $800 and up for the tank. That's a lot of gas. So now I'm thinking maybe making a wheel well tank. Or maybe some Jerry cans.

I don't think they manufacture them anymore, and couldn't find any for sale. Did you find a source?

Transferflow (name of company, NOT implying only transfer tanks) does not currently manufacture their replacement tank. They have received A LOT of calls about it and are considering putting it back in availability. The only current options are the 46 gallon LRA (linked above by @ColoradoTJ) and the factory 38 gallon. NOTE: You will not have an accurate DTE on the trip computer with the larger tank.

I know my cousin's husband has a 46 gallon Transferflow tank on his Tundra. Not sure where they got it from.

Contacted a 4wd shop in Aurora, CO yesterday who contacted Transferflow, they are apparently back to making Tundra tanks, but not for the flex fuel. Anybody know why that may be, corrosion? I want one....

I got the 46 gallon tank in my 07 tundra. It's nice but the weight has caused a problem with it now leaning more to the driver side over the years. It's nice and it's metal and not plastic. Don't know why they stopped making them. Great for long trips.

That’s just the Toyota lean bro, haha, j/k. I don’t know why they stopped either, a read an article from 2015 which they said the Tundra was their #1 seller...? I am now wondering why it’s not offered on the flex engines, did they find corrosion problems or another problem that took them out of the market for a couple years? Weird...but I still want one...

Ive got the LRA 46'er. Havent installed yet because of the cold white nord. Dont cost that much more than the TF tanks (wen they were available) and about the same as a tire/wheel combo.

Call up cruiser bros and see when is the next discounts.

Not much but every bit counts as the shipping on these things really kills any discounts.

I think i got 2 or 3 hundred off cant remem.

Cant say for sure but a few yrs back wen i was dead set on the TF, they were in the range of 1200ish...maybe a bit more. I dint have a tundy back then. And then i bought the tundy and TF tanked the tundy 46'er.

So it was either the LRA or stock 38 (wid small mods to front support member). I did not want to deal wid the tank front member and got the LRA (which was also on sale at the time).

I will install this summer and see how it is. One other member has installed the LRA (wid pics). It has better corner bevel than the TF with the straight coners.

Recently I got my LRA tank. I've coated the tank myself, since Linex wanted over $400 to do it and will have it installed by the shop in about a week. I'll post some pictures and reviews later.
