That's a good deal. I've gotten kind of tired of dragging it out to wash a car.....so I'm going with a more permanent solution....the comet 1700 stationary pressure washer. A little less PSI, but higher GPM than some of the portable units.

Not sure if you've ordered your comet yet. But when I was shopping around for one I originally came across these guys that had the most info in them and the best price.

Ryobi is using Honda engines on their pressure washers. I picked up a 2.3gpm, 2900 PSI Ryobi at HD for about $350. Seems to work like a champ. Did my driveway, walks, and first floor siding and it’s powerful.

Anyone have or used the Griot's Garage 2200 power washer? thinking of replacing my 1500 greenworks power washer. Not enough power anymore. Looking at gas PW too, but like quite of electric.

Just got this Sun Joe SPX-3000 the other day and I love it. What I do not love, however, is the foam cannon I bought to go with it. The foam consistency isn't the problem - it's that I have to use a brush to get stuff clean still. Anyone have a recommendation or suggestion as to what they do or use? TIA

Different color, but the same one I have. The foam cannons that they sell stink. To me, the king of foam cannons is still the MTM PF22....they now have a new version with a redesign of the bottle....called the PF 22.2. It is expensive, at around 90.00. You can buy an Amazon cheapie for around 20.00....and there are a million of them on there. I have both.....and the MTM is definitely better.....is it 70.00 better.....I dunno. That would be up to the user. My one recommendation for maximizing the use of a foam cannon with any electric p/w, is to switch the orifice in the foam cannon from the standard 1.25mm to the 1.1mm....it will make a big difference in the thickness of the foam. Maxshine has a good quality foam cannon for around 31.00, also available on Amazon. Pan the Organizer on Youtube does a review on it.

This one has a good orifice (lol) at 1.15mm. I just don't like that I still have to use a brush to get stuff clean.

I'm now on Amazon looking for a brush attachment.

A brush attachment for a pressure washer will destroy your paint. You can't rely on a foam bath alone to remove everything. Was that your expectation....that covering your vehicle with foam would be all you had to do?

First time with a foam cannon. I don't see the point of using one if I still need to scrub everything down.

Foam cannons are sometimes used as a 'pre-wash'....prior to a contact wash. Depending on the strength of the soap, you can remove a fair amount of road grime, but in most cases, a contact wash is still necessary. If I know I'm doing a full detail, I'll begin with a foam cannon loaded with Purple Power Vehicle and Boast wash. This will remove some road grime, as well as break down some of the more stubborn stuff and degrade any residual wax/sealant.

The whole idea of the pre-wash, or the pre-rinse for that matter, is to remove as much loose stuff as possible. This minimizes the risk of wash induced marring of your clearcoat. Maybe the foam cannon is not for you, but I think you'll find the SPX3000 strong enough to give your vehicle a pretty intense rinse prior to contact wash.

I've broken mine out when the pollen got so bad on the truck I could not stand it. I was oddly satisfying to see all that yellow crap running down the driveway.

I love this little pressure washer. It has the perfect amount of power (see below) lol.

I always rinse the whole truck down first so the loose dirt/grime will come off before I hit it with a brush. I guess I saw too many advertisements or mistakenly understood that the foam would remove more than I saw on my two vehicles.

If you go with gas, get one with a honda engine, my last one was so old the deck cart fell apart and the Honda engine would still run. I believe mine was around 300 or so from same club, 3500 psi, just have to be careful if washing truck and make sure choose the right tip

^^^^Best advice you can give for a SPX3000 owner....additionally, get yourself a 50ft hose or, at the very least an extension.....makes your life so much easier.
