Walked into the dealership this morning for 10k Toyota Care service and this was sitting in the show room. I absolutely could not resist so I purchased it on the spot! Always wanted an old Land Cruiser and this thing is mint! I crawled under it and it is pristine. All original condition and was a driver not a show piece!

J/K..... Was purchased at Barrett Jackson and is just sitting in their show room. It is not currently for sale.

    Not nearly enough room here!
I'd hope I'd be stronger than you were, if presented with that same temptation:eek2:...…...nope, I wouldn't be:D

I grew up with those in South Africa. They are indestructible. I know of many that had over 1 million kilometers on the original drive trains. Mostly diesels. I would love to get one of those but the prices are out of reach.

I have no idea how much they would want, but they do say it is for sale for the right offer. I may try to pick and prays them to see if they will let me know a price, haha.

It looks like they paid $24,510 for it. If that's the case, it was a great deal. I see them going for much higher.

Yes, I believe you are right. I believe the buyer has to pay a 10% fee at Barrett Jackson if I remember correctly. That was probably winning bid, but the final all in price was the $26,9xx number.

One of those just sold at Barrett Jackson for $75,000. It was a 1976 model year.

I'd certainly take either...sold my 1978 FJ40 4 years ago and have kicked myself in the a$$ every since, I'm on the hunt for another 78, but am being picky and looking for a deal, so I'll be looking for a while :)

Here's a pic of her. What a dumb ass I am!

I have to agree with you. No different than me selling my 1976 MG Midget that was in pristine condition and had under 50K miles. I want it back!

personally id rather have a Mega Cruiser...In addition to front, center, and rear diff locks, and 4 wheel steering, it had an option for a surface to air missile mount!
