Just installed this setup, Toytec 3" front, 1" rear, with Cooper ST Maxx 295/70-R18. it's almost level, I would say just a bit of rake, front slightly lower. Basically what I was looking for!

Do you have a block on the rear end along with the shackle? My rear end is stock and it’s about 23-3/4 - 24 inches from the center of the hub to the top of the fender. With an inch and a half shackle it should only be 25 1/2 inches. Somethings funky in the back. Maybe your shackle is bound up. Did you install new bushings or is it still the factory bushing in the eyelet? From what I read, the stock bushings do not allow movement and they bind. Maybe you need to loosen them with the truck on the ground and then retighten.

Stock rake on my truck was about 2 inches. I put a 2 inch lift on the front and it’s almost dead level. 23-3/4” to 24” in the front, depending on how its parked. Stock front hight was right around 22”.

No block in the rear. And yes new poly eyelet bushing lubed with lithium grease (top shackle already has poly bushings from the factory). The shakles were hand tightened in the air and then torqued to 70ft lbs once on the ground.

That’s a crazy amount of lift for 1 inch shackles.

That could be the tires I suppose. They're about 34.5" so I would've gotten an additional inch there.

Not if you’re measuring from the center of the wheel to the fender. That is constant no matter how big the tire you put on is. It only makes a difference from the ground up.

Somehow it looks like you got double the lift in the rear you intended.

You are correct. I thought you were talking about overall height in the rear.

(Edit: went out to measure and take a side profile of mine)

Seems you’re almost stock rake, I can tell looking at your spaces from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender, front vs back. Look at the spaces in mine. I’m supposedly raised 2.5” in the front and 1.5” shackles in the back, and I have an actual 1.2” difference overall, I measured from the ground to the fender all 4 tires.

    IMG_1525-2.jpg

All objectively speaking of course, your stance is personal preference and perfectly fine if you like it.

you could go with a coachbuilder +1 shackle ... the height of that is .625". Would have less rake that way as well.

I had a similar problem, the lines of the front of the truck don't help either. I swapped my rear shackles for the CB+1 and now I'm happy how it sits.

If your truck has a true level and you put anything in the back of it, it will automatically look like your truck is squatting. The more your truck squats, the harder it is to pull. Plus worse fuel mileage.

But after all it is a "Toyota" how much can it really pull. ;)

I like the rake. It definitely looms like a stock rake from that last pic. Sometimes when I see these trucks with measurements of level it still looks like too nose high.

Goodluck with toytec, they told me "sorry, not much we can do" . My eibach /toytec coilovers set at 2.5" gave me a little under 2" of lift. Luckily I have 6112s now and they are awesome!

Yeah I'm a little pissed at how toytec responded to the situation. Bad customer service usually leads to future issues for the company.

BTW, Darren at boss 4x4 is a great guy and was awesome to deal with when I ordered my 6112s.

Center of hub to wheel well should be 25” for a 3” lift up front. That may very slightly from truck to truck.

I’m still focused on the fact that he is sitting at 27 inches in the rear with just a 1- 1.5 shackle.

Not much help but I like your truck, looks awesome, keep it the way it is. Nice rims, tires, truck color, everything just looks perfect! If you will lower back it will look wierd if you will drive with some load on truck or trailer

I installed those same shackles. At 1” setting I measured exactly 1” lift. At 1.5” setting I meaured exactly 1.5” lift. I measured before and after from ground to same point, no other changes on the rear except that.

Well according to the documentation for my strut, the top ring is 2.5" of lift. There are 5 rings total and mine are set on the bottom first or second ring because I can see 3 rings above the coil-over perch. Maybe they know something I don't but at the moment it would seem that they set them wrong. More to come...

And you said you didn't measure before the install? I only ask because 'normally' it's anywhere from 2" - 2.5" difference from rear to front. BUT on my truck, everything stock, my front is 3.25" lower than my rear. From center hub to fender. According to Darren and David (Boss and Toytec) my front measurements are a little lower than normal and the rear is a little higher than normal. They said it's odd to see that much of a difference, but it's all stock. Maybe yours was the same.

My plan is to lift just the front. Had planned on going with the Eibach / Toytec setup but have been reading issues with the springs and not getting the advertised lift. With my setup I need the full 3". One, it will level it out and two I can save on lifting the rear. Another reason I think I'm getting away from the Eibach setup is the fact that it's fixed and not adjustable. Now leaning more towards adjustable in case I get the coilovers on and decide the look is better dropping the front below the 3" setup.

Let me know if you hear back and what they say.

    Good luck.

Did you get any center wheel to fender measurements? I didn’t get even near 2.5” lift with this front setup. It sucks having to get your truck worked on twice. Losing both ends money and time.

From my experience those who got the 3" eibach /toytec coilovers really got 2.5"...those who got the 2.5" version got less than 2". I still say toytec needs to man up and make this right. It's not like this is an inexpensive purchase or something. They're screwing people out of several hundred dollar when they don't deliver what they advertise

That front coil over does not look like it is assembled right. There are several rings visible which means it must be installed at the bottom ring, which is not 2.5". My best guess is that the problem in the front is with the perch being in the wrong ring setting.
Then the back - that looks like more than 1" of lift, but I have no idea what the cause for that can be. I think if you ge the front fixed to proper 2.5" lift, the rear will look okay as it is - it should be almost level or just a slight rake then.

Toytec is not willing to work with me. They're solution is to buy their shims..like the hell I am. I made a generous offer to return the coilovers, pay a restocking fee, and pay an additional amount to get different coilovers instead. Nope. I'm going to go about this a different way...we'll see. Never ordering from them again that's for sure.

Seems the poster earlier was right when a similar issue happened to them...their customer service kind of sucks. I can't remember in recent history where I wasn't able to return something that was defective, advertised wrong, or otherwise.
