If you in the wet & your budget allows go for..

    Danner Super Rain Forest.
    Made in Portland OR
Goretex lining. You can stand in water all day long & have dry socks when you get home.
    + 400 gram insulation. Warm & Dry

This is important in the pacific nw

costly, $400 & change.. but you get what you pay for

100% rebuildable. Send them back & they will replace every part worn.

I typically have 3 pair on hand.
My Sunday go motorcycle riding boots & my work boots.. and one that just came back from rebuilding.

I was a laborer worker working in dirt and concert all day. Red wings are great. I was always comfortable in them. The break in period does suck tho. Try nordstromrack.com for factory seconds. Sometimes you won’t even notice any blemishes on them.

I’ve had wolverines and they were really good for the first 2 months and after that I replaced with the Red Wings. Leather got really loose and my feet were just bouncing around.

"Welcome to Short Attention Span Theater".... I've had a pair of Red Wing Iron Rangers with the Vibram sole for a few years now. Break in was almost intolerable, but I stuck it out and they are now the most comfortable boot I own. Now, I'm not a roughneck, farmer, or forest ranger, but I am hard on a boot on the weekends. I do a lot of metal fab on the side, and they have held up to welding spall, grinding, dropping heavy crap on them, (no steel cap, but I still have all 10 toes), and sliding around a concrete floor and gravel driveway working on various cars, bikes, etc. I condition them with Obenaufs maybe twice a year, and they still look good when I wear them into the office.
As others have said before me, you get what you pay for. Buy a quality boot and your back and feet will thank you later.

I have three pairs. Pecos pull ons, irish setters for winter and as of this week a pair of iron rangers. Almost 1k in boots but they are amazing boots and I'll wear nothing else besides danners while in uniform. Can't go wrong with red wings.

If you're in a warehouse and it's mostly polished concrete I'd look at the Georgia boots. I've run red wings 405 for 6 years and they are by far my favorite all around boot, BUT I love(d) my Georgia's. Currently have the Georgia wedge. Very comfortable, zero break in. However the soles are too soft. I do alot of ground work and am in and out of ditches, on ladders, concrete rubble, the works. The Georgia's dont hold up IMO.
As for the redwings, they always lasted a me 1 year, and I would get a new pair with my xmas bonus. I still have all 6 pairs, and they all still look good.

Used to wear red wing slip on, only.Great for when I was on the tools, a welder. They were heavy. Now as a supervisor I Have to run around a lot more. Now I wear keen boots have arch support and much lighter. My be better for you in a warehouse environment.

The ones in the pic absolutely look restorable, but I think I've spent too much time watching shoe care videos lately

I love my Redwings. Be sure to check the tongue for where they are made. Made in the USA models are way better than the China ones IMHO.
    Good luck. D

Good Footwear, in this case work boots, is very important, especially as we age. Find something that works for you. Take advantage of any work reimbursements. Quality work boots will cost more money but will last longer than cheaper ones. Also make sure the insoles are correct for your feet; the best boot in the world is almost worthless if the insoles are not correct.
About ten years ago I got some new work boots that looked great but didn't have much arch support which I actually needed. Within the 1st week of wearing the new boots I had a long 14 hr day mostly on my feet and developed what turned out to be Plantar Fasciitis in my right foot. I had never had any foot issues prior and do not want any more. Probably an age and footwear combination but could have most likely been avoided with the proper arch support.

10-4 on the Red Wings!! Have worked for 39 1/2 years in power generation in a coal fired pwer plant and always wore the Red Wing Pecos slip on bots. Could get 2 to 3 years out of them. Like most have mentioned, the break in period is a bitch, but once broken in are the most comfortable work boots around. I have only 30 more work days until retirement, and my feet will never see another pair of safety toe shoes again. Flip flops will be my new daily foot wear!

Obligatory Red Wing foot prop pic? Hope @ARamirez73 approves.

These boots are nearly a year and a half old now.
