glocks are the iPhone's of the gun world. they have a fan boy base. I have one that's my brothers (I believe its g23) I've shot it numerous times and it does nothing for me. it is a gen 1 pistol so I cant interchange the grips for some that fit me better.

pistols are a very personal thing and just because a gun has a specific following doesn't mean it's for you.

honestly if you go with any of the mfgs out there that are tried and proven you wont go wrong. you'll run into trouble with the gun store clearance specials that come with a box of ammo and an uncle Mike's holster and safety glasses.

Sig, HK, Walther, S&W, Glock, CZ, and a few others are very reliable firearms. they just have to fit you and the gun will only be as effective as your skill set. just carrying a gun is merely the begining.

I buy most of my ammo from Freedom Munitions on-line. They don't sell any junk stuff and the prices are reasonable.

    Freedom Munitions is great stuff.
Palmetto State and Primary Arms always have great deals on ammo. You can sign up for their email news letters and get free shipping or other freebies

All of these people giving you sites to buy ammo from..

The site I linked, ammoseek, literally searches ALL of those websites and reports the best prices back to you. You can search based on a number of variables.. Why go to all of these other sites to price check when you can use a single source to find the best prices before visiting the seller's site..?

I've had Rugers, Smiths and Sigs. All the pistols I have now are Glocks. Sigs are reliable, prettier and more expensive. I love my plain, ugly, fires every time Glocks. The first Glock I carried, I put a safety block behind the trigger for a year. When I was sure I was in the habit of never putting my finger in the trigger are until I was ready to fire, I stopped using it. It pops out with a tap of your finger when you want to fire. That was years ago. Glocks are great guns.
