Ok so I ordered icon 2.5 cdcv coilovers for up front, now I'm getting ready to order the rear suspension. I'm debating on the stage 2 with the rxt remote reservoir with cdcv, or the stage 3 with the omega bypass shock. I live in Pennsylvania so there are no go fast places for offroading. Are the bypasses worth it or just get the rxt remote reservoir? Any input or advice is greatly appreciated.

Depends on how much you want to spend? Do you want to get what you want? Or what you actually need that’s not overkill.

The price difference isnt that big of a deal for me. I'm a newb when it comes to bypass shocks so that's my dilemma right now. I dont know if they're worth it for what I'm doing, which is washboard roads, logging roads, and the sand. And a 4k enclosed trailer with our goose decoys and blinds.

For normal day to day driving with minor off road use the icon 58650’s would be fine. Just get the 700lb spring. Icon has a leaf pack that gives 1.5” of lift along with the RXT leaf kit. Pair that with some coachbuilder shackles and your good to go. Shackles come in 3 sizes, 0.625”, 1.25” and 1.75” of lift.

Yea I ordered the 58650 coils with the 700lb springs last week they are coming in Today. I'm just stuck on whether to get the cdcv shock or the bypass shock.

Icon 2.5 cdc front and rear. MCM UCA's, RXT rear leafs , wheelers bump stops, Icon hydrolic Bump stops, Icon six speed 17x8.5 w/35x12.5R17 Nitto Ridge grapplers, A.R.E. CX,, Smittybilt Gen2 12k synthetic on SSBuilt Front bumper, factor 55 fair lead, factor 55 flat link-E, SSBuilt high clearance rear with S2Pro, BD squadron pro fogs and side lights, BD 40" Onx6 behind the grill on SDHQ mount, BD XL80's on SDHQ a pillar/ hood mounts. Switch pros 9100, SDHQ panel mount and SDHQ under hood mount. Pro Grill, SDHQ ABS guards, P&P Sliders, Full RCI skids. Kenwood TM-V71a, Dual GPS antenna, Rago dash mount, WE Boost inreach
CDCV rear should be fine for what you're doing. Look up the RXT leaf kit. It can be run w/ stock shackles and is way better than the factory leafs with an add a leaf or shackles.

Question he’s asking is if he needs them for what he’s doing. Of course they’ll work and they are better than the lower option no ones debating that

So I was looking for the 58750c with the 700lb spring, and I called Icon today twice (for good measure) and they told me they don't make the 700lb coil / spring for the Tundra, only the Taco and 4Runner.
Does someone have the part number for the 700lb coil they ordered?

I have the 58750c on order and want to make sure I get the 700 if its available.

They are eibach coils. But they do have them. Icon wants you to pay a $150 to upgrade to them. But the supplied coils do not work how they say they are supposed to.

Interesting - they obviously didn't want me using the 700 or supplying them :) - I should be happy with the default spring rate and shouldn't over think it.
I think going from a spacer 3/1 lift to Icon 2.5's with RR and CDCV is going to be a HUGE improvement.

Anyone have an update on this? I'm looking to run the 58750's in the the front and definitely want to achieve that 3" lift. Planning to put a winch/bumper up front at some point so making sure to future proof as I plan things out.

You are definitely going to need the 700lb springs if you want the 3" of lift and the winch bumper and winch.

I've got the rxt pack, and the cdc rear shocks. Its plenty for us. If we were in az hitting woops... I'd say jump and spend the money, but ride quality is awesome, lots of travel, and plenty of adjustment..

I just bought the bypasses last week and they will be in tomorrow. I figured I'd spend the extra 700 for them and have it and not need it than to need them and not have it.

Thanks. Can I expect any major downside in upgrading to the 700lb spring before getting that added weight up front? Will probably be a little while before I get the bumper/winch added. It would be on a crewmax.

Update: I installed the 58750c this past weekend - u definitely need the 700lb coils to get your 3 inch of lift without maxing out the preload on the Coilover. Especially if you’re going with the RXT rear setup like I intend.
I have contacted Icon to get the couls in mine replaced because the stock coils in 68750c is just not providing enough lift.

That’s sucks. I would have thought icon would have been notify by Eibach about the spring issue by now. I was the first to report this issue to them. At least that’s what they said. They tried to tell me they test every spring on the largest and heaviest model. I told them no way, they would have noticed already. Unless they tested it a few years ago and something is different now.

Go for the 700 right off the bat.
The stock spring is 14", the 700lb is 16 inch so right away you will get the lift, and you can reduce the pre load a bit until you put some weight on it if needed but as others have stated, ride quality is fine.

I'm in a situation now where Icon is recommending a .25 bump stop spacer to solve the lift problem of stock coils. I have been advised to put coilovers at max preload, add the bump stop spacer and this will solve the lift problem. My opinion is this is not addressing the problem nor is it a valid option.
Going with a 700lb longer spring should give me the lift like the standard coil over should of in the first place, while still allowing up travel (or will it?) and not sacrificing ride quality.

What is everyone's thought on this ?

Considering.... longer spring, more spring to compress at higher spring rating= limited up travel and same coil bind risk?

Or standard coil rating spring, shorter spring, more pre load = limited up travel and coil bind risk?

Sounds to me like a rock and a hard place?
