    LOL nice!
I don't even put on my pants when it's that late, yet I care enough to get up and go check/look at whatever's nagging at me about the truck!

    Priorities huh? LOL

When my '11 Taco was new I took the flaps off, had a shop attach strips of clear bra to the fenders, then I put the flaps back on to prevent this from happening. After 3 years with my Tundra, I haven't noticed this to be a problem, but it is a 2nd gen so that could have something to do with it.

update on this... took in truck for one of my free oil changes, I talked to service manager and another service writer they acted like I was speaking another language and just said it would be $76 to replace it. I ordered a set of weathertech flaps and installed in a couple minutes and they are way stronger and don't flex. same size as oem shape is more square on corners

Yes no drilling, you reuse the factory bolts. I didn't take a pic but fit just like oem just very sturdy

    Flux capacitor!
I'm just thinking out loud here for a easy solution to the fenders bending. Couldn't you add a layer of self adhesives mesh tape in the inside portion of the mud flap closest to the tire and then add epoxy or resin to stiffen it? Then just spray paint over it to match. I know I've done this to my sons RC to keep the body more rigid from breaking or flexing.

Something like that would help for sure but my truck only has 10k on it and those weather tech flaps look stock and only $40
