Fixing Driver side sag

    6 inch lift, ADS suspension, Alcan custom rear springs, 46 gallon metal gas tank, Full Line-x body, Wheels with 35's, Smittybilt bumpers front and rear, 10k warn winch, custom rack.
    I have a 2007 Tundra with a 6 inch lift and 35's. I have noticed that since in installed a 46 gallon metal tank in the truck over the years it has started to sag on the driver's side. I even have noticed the rear leaf spring has become almost straight and the passengers still has a curve to it. This truck is my adventure truck so I don't haul anything but gear for camping. Has anyone had this problem and how did you fix it?

    Start with a 1/4” shim on the drivers side coil over.

    I don't think the shim will fix this in the coil. The weight is toward the back on the rear suspension. I was able to contact a suspension guy in town that builds custom setups and he said he could fix it. I'm going to take it in this weekend and see what will have to be done.

    So, had the guy look at it. Basically called my lift kit shit. He said it is common on lifts that the rear leaf is never right. I'm going to have them rebuild the leaf springs and fix them, plus up the weight a bit on them. Cost is $425. It will stop my lean problem.

    Measure the hight of your front suspension from center of the wheel to fender. We have known drivers side lean. A low front left will raise the right rear. It’s a common fix for aftermarket suspension. It won’t totally compensate for the 46 gallon tank but it’s part of the equation.

    After talking to the shop about the rear sagging I think this is my best course is to have them rebuild the springs for the weight. These guys said they have seen this a lot with lifted trucks that load them up with adventure stuff. My tool box, spare 35, custom rack system with my roof top tent starts to add up, plus the 46 gallon metal tank. I think fixing it this way will fix the problem and not put a band-aid on it. I really didn't notice the lean till recently. It seems to be the driver side leaf, I even moved my jack and heavy stuff around trying to counter it but, that 46 gallon tank is heavy. At about half a tank the truck doesn't have much of a lean to it.
