Just thought I'd post a few pics of my '16 CM with Bilstein 5100's upfront on the mid setting. I also changed the tire size to 275/70R18 and added the TRD Pro center caps to the stock SR5 wheels. The truck has just over 1/4" rake, so it's not totally level, but pretty close. The top setting would likely be exactly level. Anywho, thought maybe someone could use this if looking to do something similar to their truck, I know pics of those who had done similar helped me decide what to do. I might do wheels one of these days with a different offset to improve the stance a little, but that will have to be later.

That looks excellent!! If I didn't lift my rear, 8 would set mine at mid setting too.
I like a slight rake on my truck.
Love the color of your truck too BTW!

I like the lift, looks great. Now get yourself some Spidertrax 1.25" spacers and push the wheels out

Came out great! Did the ride quality in the front get better/worse? I want to do this as well.

@McLovin - seems like the ride quality is about the same. Didn't get much better, but not worse either. Not sure if the tires help/hurt either, but I ended up putting Michelin LTX A/T2 back on because I found a great deal on a set. They are E-class however, which I'm told makes balancing a little tougher......

Oh ok. I'll be going with BFG All terrains so yeah, tires could make a difference as well. Thanks.

@McLovin - I bet that will make a difference. I would also check out the BF Goodrich T/A KO2. They are a nice looking tire, what I was going to get but found a good deal on these tires. I just noticed this evening that when I turn sharp (like all the way while parking or something) the tires rub on the skid plate, might have to figure out a way to trim that back a little or something. Was hoping I'd get away without having to do that......

That's what I'm looking at doing to my truck. Looks great- thanks for posting pics!

Looks like you removed the front wheel well rear mud flap - was this due to rubbing?
Also someone mentioned spacers. That might solve your skid plate rubbing issue but introduce it in another place.

I was hoping to keep the mud flaps because I didn't want to throw rocks all over my doors (got a 1/8-1/4 mile of #57 stone before I get to asphalt) but we will see.

Nevermind - I figured out I could zoom on the pics on mobile. Clearly you still have all the flaps.

    Sweet setup man!

@PermaFrostTRD - yeah, still have all the flaps, which is what I wanted. They don't rub at all, it appears to be the skid plate on the inside of the tire. You think pushing the tires out 1.25" (or whatever those Spidertrax spacers do) will help with that?

@harrisdoggy - I have a pretty limited knowledge about these so far but I'm trying to learn from other members on here.
Guys like @Law323 @csuviper @Sean266 @ColoradoTJ and countless others have been pretty helpful.

I think the spidertrax spacers will push your tires and wheels out far enough so you won't rub internally (skid plate area) but it may cause some external rub (like on the mud flaps or body mount)

Those more knowledgeable please weigh in and confirm or correct this info.
    Thanks!

I have the 1.25" spidertrax wheel spacers. No issues with them. Provide a good stance for the truck. I have 34.5" tires on a 3/1 lift. Had to remove the front mud flaps, trim the front plastic of the wheel well and trim the skid plate. Didn't bother me to do that at all. Can't really help you based on your lift height or tire size though. Just know that pushing out further changes the location of where the tire sticks out the furthest when turned

You'll be just fine with spidertrax spacers, I don't see you having to remove the flaps or do any trimming with 275/70's plus 1.25" spacers.
It does improve the stance in a big way.

I have the same setup in suspension, 5100's on mid setting... but my tires are still the stock 20" P-Metric "Craptastic" tires lol. So no rubbing for me but when I get my new tires and wheels it will be a different story

Is there a reason you didn't put them on the highest setting? My excuse is that I will hit the top of my little a$$ garage door... or thought. I think I can make it on the highest setting and I'm going to risk it... so what if i rip the garage off the tracks.. at least i got it in right?? :headbang:

@YotaMang - haha.......I was concerned about the same thing, but it looks like I've got room still if I wanna go up a little. Also, I gotta ease into this level/lift thing. This is the first car I have ever done anything after market to, so I'm just taking baby steps. May work my way up to the highest setting and larger tires at some point, but I'm also loading kids in and out of this thing when we're not cruising in the wife's sweet minivan.

@Law323 @veg hed - thanks for the info, looks like I gotta drop some more cash on spacers, I'll post some pics after I get it done.

    Very straightforward.

You'll need to use a jack to push up the LCA after putting the spacers on to get them to line up.

dont forget to get an alignment right after.

@McLovin - yeah, it's Bilstein #24-232173. Parts + labor + alignment was $496 w/tax. I noticed you can buy the Bilstein's for $100/piece on Amazon. The shop charged me $127.90/each for them.

@harrisdoggy im assuming you are talking about the spyder trax spacer installation since you already have bilsteins. It's as easy as rotating you tires just a simple bolt on and lock tight. Installed mine last night.

Now I'm thinking I'll just get new wheels. Will an 8.5" width wheel with +25 mm offset be similar to stock with 1.25" spacers? Most of the specs for 275/70R18 tires go up to 8.5" wheels, but not 9" like a lot of after market wheels are sized. What about an 8" wheel with a +40 mm offset? I wouldn't mind improving the stance and have the wheels stick out a little but more importantly I do not want any rub on the skid plate. Thanks.
