Hey guys before to much longer here I'm going to be posting pics of my truck which is and always will be under construction. I notice that some people leave their license plate exposed and some cover or black it out. Are their any cons to leaving it exposed and having the world see it ? Just something that crossed my mind the other night. Thanks for any input.

I think it's just good common sense to cover it. We have a good group of guys here, but as in any forum, anyone can join and plus anyone can see your pics that you post up here all over the internet even without joining. It doesn't take much to look up a license plate and get enough pertinent personal info. Easy target for identity theft, which can happen any number of ways other than looking up license plates, but why make it easier on them?

I personally, don't get the big deal. We drive all over the place with our plates uncovered. What is special about someone in a forum seeing it as opposed to some stranger that sees you drive by?

I suppose you can get into an argument on a forum with a crazy person. And he can look you up and go to your house to beat you up. I'm not too worried though because I know Kung Fu. Okay, I don't know Kung Fu... I have guns.

I'd be more concerned about some road-rager I pissed off. I gently beeped someone once for wandering over into my lane (cutting me off), and the dude pulled a gun on me at the next stop-light.

People are idiots! If you pull a gun for someone beeping at you, you got problems.

Not concerned at all who sees my plates. Don't see any risk in doing so. Everyone sees my plates everday and no one has ever come knocking on my door.
